Had a lot of fun playing/testing this map. I like all the changes you have made going back to the first day I played this. It is a solid map and is so much fun with all the jumps around the center of the map. Flows great. Skilled players will be rewarded on this map
I saw your walkthrough of this map a few days ago. Haven't had a chance to play it yet, but to me this is your best design yet. Lots of verticality. Varied lines of sight and movement options. It looks like you covered all the basics. I'm eager to see if it has that unexplainable missing ingredient that sets great maps apart from good ones. Nice job Chronmeister.
Thanks for the mention, and hopefully people start giving you more feedback. It played well and was fun to test!
Time to give my feedback, now that I've had several games on here. I stand by my earlier statement that this is your best design yet. This is a good 1v1 map, and without a doubt my favorite map of yours yet. I enjoyed my games on here even though I pretty much got my ass kicked every time. One of the things I learned early and often thanks to back-smacks by Warholic is that you need to watch your back at all times. The movement options through the middle mean you can be on top of your opponent before they know what hit them. I got caught more than once standing at an elevated central position, looking down upon the routes winding around the exterior. I really liked the OS placement. I probably would've just put it on the center platform, but I like the fact that you didn't go with the obvious choice. It works well where it is. I wish it played 1v1's at a quicker pace. For me, it's right on the edge of being better suited for 2v2 than 1v1, but all in all I like the map a lot and I'm looking forward to playing it more and maybe dishing out a few of those back smacks myself.
The most fun I have ever had playing a 1v1 @Chron - If i ever hop back on halo lets play this! Deserves the bump
I played a few game with Chron and was very impressed with the map. It has a pleasing sense of verticality and I understood the layout fairly well after only a few games. There are quite a few interesting shortcuts for climbing to the top. Aesthetically, the map works very well. There is enough contrast from area to area to make navigation pretty intuitive. Overall, it's an impressive map with a lot of ideas that forgers should check out. --- Double Post Merged, May 29, 2015 ---
