A lot of discussion has been circulating around all of the new competitive map submissions to ForgeHub in hopes of making it into the spotlight. We have featured a lot of great content here and now would like to see what the competitive community thinks of your creations. ForgeHub is dedicated to help bring forgers some of the most valuable feedback for your maps and is proud to announce partnerships with a handful of pro players. You can view them testing community forge maps on the off chance of their own time or check back here to view announcements of official testing sessions scheduled the pros here at ForgeHub. We will have a tentative schedule for the future sessions so you can plan your availability to view the matches and discuss in advance. For now please standby as we schedule a session with Naded's livestream via twitch for our first session. You can find all of the maps we are tentatively scheduling for session 1 below:

In no way do these maps reflect :343:'s final selections for Season 2 of the Halo Championship Series events. ForgeHub is conducting these tests with pro players independently and will be evaluating the feedback from both the creative and competitive communities combined. We appreciate all of the submissions and hope to keep the energy going. This collaboration between creator and player is something we really look forward to exploring more in the future as well. Stay tuned for more map testing sessions like the one as we plan to host a few more before April 5th.

I've only played Orion about 3 times in MCC but so far I feel it could really use the treatment that dispute got, it just seems far to big and the travel times are overly long. Instant gratification with routing isn't my style so this is usually what I prefer, though H2as movement is a bit too slow for it. I Absolutely loved the map in Halo 4, probably one of my favorites actually. If it were scaled down a little, I feel this may turn into one of my favorites in H2a. For now though, Elder acorns map is probably my favorite for Hill.

      Speaking of, where is Ridge?

Was not trying to say your bad. I just don't find Complexion to hard to learn but the los are kind of confusing because of how busy they are leading to some fights being sloppier than if they were clean los.

Nah I didn't take it that way. I just know I am not that good, lol. I can see where you are coming from. You made the map so you've seen it more than anyone & I am positive if I was to play it a couple times I would understand it a lot better. Maybe I should have just kept my mouth shut because I don't want it to seem like I am talking down on the map. My opinion is far from the best to follow.

I didn't make the map and I am actually not that big of a fan of it. I am just always confused when people say that. I do tend to learn maps really fast that is probably the real issue.

      complexion is my map...

i'm not that good a player either but thanks to forge i found myself learning halos gameplay mechanics so that i can make hopefully good maps.

i don't think the LoS are that messy, there is one place where i think i'll raise the railings because of a very tight LoS from top lift down to bottom mid. other then this one i don't think any others are a big issues.

LOL! my bad I got confused there. I'll just put my foot in my mouth now, its going way further then I planned & now I look silly. Its a good map, I just got mixed up in it with only playing 2 games so like I said it is probably the lack of playing the map plus the lack of skill which causes me to not really try hard enough to learn the map that fast rendering my opinion worth about nothing now I guess. Sorry guys, just pretend this never happened lol.

Though I can tell if a map is good and a map is bad, I have played long enough & forged long enough. I guess in the first place I should have just said I am not a huge fan of it because I only played it twice & I was a little scattered since I didn't get the layout down. I feel like a tool now. All of this is making it look like I have a negative opinion on it which I don't.

its fine. better then saying you don't like the map because of the difference in style or not understanding it like i've have received from other people.

      Zombievillan
Nah, we need different styles, that's the point of this right? I don't really like lockout but it's been in competition forever. One opinion can't stop a map & give me time, I'm sure I'll grow to like it more, I don't hate it now.

Orion had at least two more routes in the h4 version that were removed in the h2a version. For a map that already requires such a large commitment to the path you want to take, removing paths wasn't a change i was a fan of.

Oh snap! Totally forgot about your map dude. My bad. We even talked about this ages ago when you showed me it in forge! :O

Technically two, but they were the same place... Jet-pack or rock jumps. The "sword legs" in H4 weren't nearly as accessible or useable as they are in H2A, and the "open-ramp" has improved usability over the H4 version. Couple all of that with the fact that the lifts are silent and spawning is improved and it's hard to argue that the map lacks connectivity compared to the previous iteration.

Yes, it is a larger map, but even at the base speed it's not that large. Takes approximately 17 seconds, 18 max, to walk from far end to far end. Most activity on the map takes place within a 10 second walking distance from each other. The map is also considerably less complex than other maps featured here, which although those maps are technically "smaller" in area, they play significantly bigger.

Well I studied a video from our last CTF test of Strain. I reworked the spawns with more of a simple setup & I need to test it out. Hopefully it's good to go& maybe in the future it'll make to you pro guys, lol.

I made a map for the competition but since you had to be 18+ I never uploaded it, just wonders if you could take a look at it even if it wasn't uploaded during the competition

These times aren't EU friendly aye? Lol

But is there any way for me to see the gameplay on the forge maps? And I really like Naded, but I can't/won't subscribe just to watch the rebroadcasts.. :/

Ahh okay thanks for the info. Was wondering that ofc, however I like seeing gameplay on forge maps. Recently watched the gameplay on Dispute and really enjoyed it.
