**** Tesla, this needs to be the Midship clone in HCS. It played really well earlier, aside from the few quirky spawns that you fixed.

edit: I'm bad at forge politics

**** Tesla, this map lacks originality but plays extremely well. This map dumps on Tesla anyday of the week, year and entirity.

Although it trumps tesla, its just midship. I don't think we should be pushing any "midship style maps"
We should just be content with a midship remake and leave more room for original and creative maps.

Agreed. This map is only meant to act as an alternative Midship option if the need for such a map arises. Otherwise, I would like to see more original designs. I actually think my map Chronos beats this one in most situations and might still scrath that Midship itch, so to speak. I'll try to get a post for it on here soon.

Slayer is boring as usual on here, I say that from the perspective of a designer not a player...great submission for the 'midship' niche though. I have to say this is one of the finer successors we've seen for it although I think you should push your textures a little further. I had fun on our playtest however put on CTF next time, would be more interesting. Good bye Tesla, hello Oracle.

Agreed on not wanting a "Midship" for the HCS, but it's obvious the pros want that, so it might as well be a good one. CTF on this map got really sweaty last night. Loved every second of it. I wonder how the other HCS gametypes would play (Oddball, KotH, Assault). For it to be a Midship, it will need to play all of those, and I'm sure Oracle's ability to do that could figure into its getting picked over Tesla.
Once this map reaches the final version, though. It'll have a permanent spot on my HD.
And you guys broke the "**** Tesla" chain Orzium and I had going. I am disappoint.

More interesting textures would definitely be preferable, but I had to trim a lot off to guarantee good performance since so much of the map is visible at any given time.

You are correct, but we have a very good midship remake. I just think that "midship style" is cancer.

Unfortunately, the Midship remake we have is ruined by Awash's crappy lighting...

From a gameplay standpoint this map is pretty solid. I think aestetically if you kept the green color on the objects as a theme it would look alot nicer, then to color the callouts using powerup lighting and or regular lights and maybe the occasional different color object than the green that fits the map to work for callouts. My reasoning behind that is that there seems to be too much of the other colors that really don't match the grass planes and concrete textures like the green does.

Loved playing 2v2 the few times we played and can't wait to get some 4v4s on it. You can hardly go wrong with a generic deisgn like this but it's definitely hard to compare to some of them out there already. That being said, Oricle is definitely one of the best. I'd like to see this backed by some higher ups in the competitive scene.

It has all the same problems onyx did. Not a fan. I don't like the extra routes added in general. They have never made a midship clone play better and why would it change anything now.
