    First Off

    Hey Guys, nice to see Forgehub is back, it was always my Go-to website for awesome Community Creations and high Standard Forge Maps.
    As i am on a hectic schedule right now i havent got the time to forge, but lately since the „Resurrection“ of this site im infused with new creativity and i want to commit sth. to the sucsses of Forge.
    So i would like to introduce you to GENESIS my first WIP in Halo 2A.

    The map itself is still in Beta Stage but i’m very happy with the layout and the general atmosphere. I’ve already tried to test it with some random players, but i think it will need proper testing from people who actually understand whats making a good map. I still have the feeling that i can improve on that first version.
    So i need your help to eliminate eventual issues and give it a final Polish.

    Description

    Genesis was designed as an symmetrical 4v4 map and is inspired by The Pit.
    I’ve put a strong emphasis on controlling important Lines of Sight and using Tactical Jumps to your advantage. To succsesfully do that Setups and teamwork is very much needed. I highly think it will play great in Objective Gamemodes.

    Inital Ordnance:

    · Rocket Launcher - 180s
    Rockets are spawning at Bottom Mid. Both Teams can see him at the beginning of a match

    · 2x Sniper Rifle - 180s
    One Sniper Rifle spawning at each Base

    · Active Camo - 120s
    The Active Camo spawns in the Lift Room.
    Players spawning in their Basement, could easily grab it giving them an chance to break Map-control.

    · Shotgun - 90s
    Shotgun spawns at the flanking/sneaky Route.
    As this is a more enclosed Area the Shotgun has an advantage here.

    Summary

    Overall im very proud of this map, Especially that i’ve managed to forge somthing simple yet complex. I really enjoyed forging it. What remains to be done is, that i need to find players to test the map.
    I’ve got plenty of Budget left, so im able to make further additions.

    As im from Germany it would be nice to get an EU lobby ;)

    Layout and overall aesthetic looks nice. I'll have to give this a look for sure.
    Have you noticed any framerate issues especially across long lines of sight? I noticed you used many complex objects and this can tend to cause that.

    At least not in my playtests. But i wasn't able to test it with more than 4 Players yet. Also havent tested splitscreen yet.
    If you give this a closer look, you could give me feedback on the flanking routes. Players tend to avoid them because they feel like "Dead Canyons". I'm not sure what i can do about that ;)
