Ricochet news is front and center in this weeks iteration of The Halo Bulletin, which also includes info on matchmaking updates, a look to the future of Team Throwndown, and a roundtable discussion with some of the competitors from the Halo 4 Global Championship. Ricochet News When the Community Forge Test Playlist reboots, it will focus on the recently release Ricochet gametype. No date was provided for when the playlist will resume Halo 4 Ricochet Forge Contest - Submit your maps between now and October 8th. Read additional details HERE. Matchmaking Update On-disc Ricochet maps updated to "weapon tuning" layouts (balanced and optimized starting spawns, weapons, and geometry). Onyx, Dispatch, and Simplex added to the Ricochet playlist Graphite, Pitfall, and Onxy added to Team Doubles. Traffic has picked up in the Big Team Battle playlist. Additional map and gametype combinations are under consideration. The next matchmaking update on September 30th will feature updates to the Team Snipers playlist. Team Throwdown 343 is looking into ways to recognize the top performers in Team Throwdown, possibly by identifying them at Waypoint, featuring interviews, etc. A name change for the playlist may coincide with the implementation of that, hopefully by the end of the year. v5 Settings are coming in October, giving teams plenty of time to prepare for AGL 10K. Snipers wasn't a full task. We were given a VERY short period of time to pull a very small number of maps. Even we don't know which maps make the final cut. We send our recommendations upstream but we don't know which maps actually made it in until we read the next bulletin.
It doesn't work that way. Yes, the builders are notified if we select their map to be sent upstream, but after that any number of things can happen to the map in Test, and they can be rejected at any point for any number of reasons.
The person who made the map put it into snipers playlist himself might wanna get to know ppl around here n know the community
Funniest thing i read all day. A forger can't put his map into Matchmaking. Only 343i employees who are members of the sustain team can put maps into the playlist. No one in the community has that power. I assume you are talking about Fated since his map just went in. That was just a coincidence. His map was selected for the Snipers playlist days before he became a Community Cartographer. I should know since i am usually the last person to work on community maps prior to them being sent upstream. I fix all the safe/kill volumes on almost all maps before i give them to Bravo. I did the final edit on Opticon (safe/kill volumes, removed a few unneeded items, swapped the Crates for alternate items), and placed a few new kill volumes on The Ark. I also helped Fated with the safe/kill volumes on Stronghold but we did that a few months ago for another reason.
