    This is the signup thread for The tuesday night TCOJ lobby!

    Do You like playing Halo 4? Yes? Good.
    Do you like customs? Yes? Good!
    Do you like your customs lobby to have awesome, handsome, schmexy people in it? Yes? Unlucky on that one, then.

    But we run this lobby every Tuesday night regardless of how fugly or repellent we are to women, and if you want to grab some good customs on new and cool forge maps, or more importantly test your own, then drop your name, gamertag or even a map link, and you will get into the most regular and friendly testing lobby going. We aim for between 6-10ppl, usually we run 4v4s.
    Alternatively send me a message or friend request on XBL, GT: Juanez Sanchez, and I will add you or send you an invite to the lobby 10-15 minutes before it begins.
    The lobby starts at 7pm est, 12am gmt, give or take 10 minutes. HOST GT: Juanez Sanchez

    I wouldn't mind if there were a bit less people than usual. it gets tiring playing for like 3h each time.

    couldn't do **** on my map for some reason oO I don't know if it was too many players or me falling half asleep lol.

    A few comments on your two maps from a poor player:

    The visual effects on the Erosion map worked really well. It was a pretty map. I wasn't sure I enjoyed how it played, though. This may be due to the fact that I am simply a poor player, but I spent as much time waiting to respawn as I did playing. I got spawn-raped pretty badly on that map. I'm not sure I remember ever spawning where I did not have a LOS to at least one enemy. Maybe we had too many players on it . . . or maybe I was just way outmatched skill-wise . . . but I never actually made it to the center. I tried, because I wanted to see what was there, but I did not make it there a single time the entire game. There were multiple occasions where I dropped dead off spawn without even getting off a shot.

    The Impact map I found to be a bit confusing. While I did figure out where the teleporters were by the end of the game, there were a couple of times where I spawned and moved back or sideways and was suddenly in a different part of the map. That was disorienting. Maybe consider not having respawns right next to the teleporters (especially as you don't use the teleporter frames to delineate them). Also, where you have the horizontal bridges, if you jump underneath them, the railings block the LOS. I don't think you hit your head on the underside, but the railings both block the LOS and stop forward progress. With the bright visual effects, I was not always aware I was jumping underneath a bridge until it happened, I lost my LOS, came down without knowing which way the guy had moved, and died immediately thereafter. If you can, I would either raise the bridges or flip them over. I also had a really difficult time aiming with all the changes to player movement in that gametype. The high jump / high grav combo was especially troublesome to my aim (but that's not relevant to the map).

    yeah, it was the same for me on alienation, but I used to do decent scores when we played 4v4. I didn't really focus on spawn points, but probably I should actually.

    spaceport played well for me. I'll have to check those spawns. I'm not sure I will change the bridge, that might depend on what pieces are still available. the game type is just meant to be faster, you also spend less time in the air when you jump.


    Artefact : liked it. had some problem with the terrain, but I'm not sure it's because of the map this time. the ramp doors were pretty cool, found them useful.

    The gametype comments don't have anything to do with the map, so don't worry about that. I understand you like those settings, and that's cool. I'm just not used to them, so there is some adjustment involved that I didn't have time for in the 2 games. If you can't fix the bridges on spaceport, I will just keep that in mind the next time we play it and it will not be a big deal. I would take a look at the respawns by the teleporters, though . . . if those could be done away with, I think it would be an improvement.

    Thanks for the comments on Artifact. Since that went well enough, I think I will reopen that one, fix the speed of the center flag route, and add Extraction and KoTH.

    I'm not sure what to say on drome, I did good at the beginning, and in the 2nd half of the game, I think our team got raped. I got assassinated quite a lot.
    there was something weird at the blue spawn, there were ramps going to the sides, but it seemed to serve no purpose.

    flection : this played well, despite it looked quite open. I've just checked it in forge, and it looks like there are no killzones. if you can use the jetpack to climb up those blue/red towers, that may be very campable.


    I'm confused, I'm checking spaceport and there is actually not a single spawn point that is adjacent to a teleport. there is at least a distance of several meters.

    Dude, I swear I spawned in between what I think was the green teleport and maybe the yellow on the other side, moved to the side, and poof was somewhere else.

    Either that, or my memory's f****d.

    I am glad you guys had a good lobby without me- sounds like you got some good games in. How many players did you get together? I will be back this coming tuesday, i would like to test ricochet on one of my maps for the certain affinity ricochet contest.

    Alienation: Only got to play about 4 mins of this map before my broadband went kaput (it really doesn't like me). But I really like the look of this map, it was a bit dark, but its nice to see something different. In terms of how it played I have to agree with Maximus, I think I went to the centre once or twice, but for the most part of the game I found it easier to stay around the sides of the map.

    Artifact: I think I've played this once or twice before and once again I loved it. Can't really find any faults with it tbh.

    Lunacy: My only problem with this map was the ditches near the blue base and yellow base. Twice I fell into them whilst trying to kill people and both times I got killed myself. Other than that felt it was decent.

    This is the signup thread for The tuesday night TCOJ lobby of 1/10/13!
    What is happening people? All enjoying GTA5? The winter gaming season is almost underway and there is a lot of stuff to look forward to indeed. The frickin Xbox One, and the goshdarn PS4 are coming out! How good does Titanfall look, and i am very excited to see what can be done with project spark! I am personally thinking of waiting for the release of a Halo5 edition Xbox one; but we will see how tempted i get.​
    Halo 4 sadly looks to be coming towards the end of its lifespan, and a little prematurely maybe thanks to 343i's notion of not dropping the price of DLC or just making the first map pack free. Team Slayer had just a few hundred people in it the other day, thanks to it being a DLC-required playlist. Thats sad I reckon.

    For those of us who have not yet migrated away to other games, TCOJ will still run every tuesday to test your maps, or just run some laid back customs.
    It might not be my place to say, but here's a big THANKYOU for coming back every week and playing some games with me and whatever regulars still attend. We have had a great retinue of awesome players and forgers over the last 3-ish years, and some really great new blood too. Here's a shout out to all the old guys and the new guys alike, who keep bringing fresh maps and ideas every week.

    You Know the score by now, If you want to play on tuesday, drop a message below. I will give you a slot, and we go through everyone twice, if the party size allows.
    We play anything you like, your slot is yours to do with what you like; infection, slayer, oddball or minigames. Just don't be a jerk and you will get invited back again.
