"Morgan Bay, 1773. The once ever so peaceful port now houses a horrible rebellion..." ______________________________________ Inspiration and Background Story Aye mateys! Welcome to Morgan Bay, also known under several other names such as "Morgan Bay and the Rebellion", "Morgan Freeman Bay", "Captain Morgan Bay" and of course "Michael Bay"! This map was specifically designed for the Flood Forge-Off Contest held by both ForgeHub and 343industries.org. Therefore, it has been set up purely for the Hivemind gametype (linked above) and supports 10-12 players at best. Morgan Bay was inspired by the typical ports you'd see in Assassin's Creed III. Rather than well known cities such as Boston and New York however this map takes place in an imaginery small and friendly township filled with fishermen, labourers and adventurers. In recent times things are obviously no longer tranquil though, because the Infection has now struck this city. The only way to see the end of the day is to team up with your surviving buddies and fight your way to victory. Pictures The humans spawn over by one of the edges of the city There are several locations you can visit in order to improve your chances of survival, this one being the Mansion Another hot spot for humans to go for is the Warehouse over by the water, on the opposite side of the bridge A third fan favorite is the Sniper House (which is in fact a Storage Room) right next to the Mansion. It may seem worthless but it's a great spot with long sightlines Finally, we have the Brewery which provides the option to block the entrances by knocking the several crates in place The bad part about being the creator of a map is.... .... the zombies always hunt you down together in whatever creative way possible! An overview of the whole map More pictures? Spoiler Optional Extra Information Spoiler The map is to be played with the Hivemind Gametype. It works best with 10-12 players but can work with 8-14 as well. Weaponry: 3 Shotgun Initial Drops (at Warehouse, Mansion, Human Spawn), 1 Shotgun Random Drop (at the Bridge), 1 SAW (at Brewery), 1 Pack of Grenades (in front of Brewery), 1 Railgun (in front of Mansion), 1 Sniper (at Sniper House) and several ARs, Magnums and other Random Drops at various locations. Tactics: (Humans Team up with at least 2 buddies. Watch all entrances because even though it may not look like it, there are multiple to every holdout location on the map. Don't stick around in the open in the middle of the map. You'll be an easy target for zombies. Effectively block off entrances when you have the opportunity to do so (Brewery). (Zombies Move as a horde. You will have a lot more chances of infecting people than thoughtlessly boosting into rooms all by yourself. Use Random Ordnances as bait. There always tend to be humans not paying attention while going after these new found weapons. Use secondary entrances into buildings to attack unwatchful humans by surprise. What were my goals when creating this map? To create an understandable, competitive map with a convincing theme and a versatile set of holdouts, providing fun gameplay every time you play on this map.
