August 2013 Winners Hello ladies. This month's Forge Hub Favorites is a little different, because all three maps tied for FIRST PLACE. That's right, here are three First Place Maps for you guys to get down and dirty with. Titan, Orion and The Ark are all fantastic maps made by fantastic forgers and also are different enough from each other to keep your custom lobby fresh. Let's also give a round of applause to the several forgers and their maps who came in second and third place. Now that these maps are FHF'd, you guys have another chance this month! Titan by thealm0ndKiller (aka theSpinCycle) and Hahkarazy Players | 2-4 Gametypes | Team Slayer, Extraction Forged by Spin and Hahka, Titan has been worked on practically all year long. A spiritual successor to Quake's Aerowalk (which was recently in rotation at Quakelive), Titan takes the notorious design and outfits it to compliment Halo's gameplay. Designed around a single, multi-tiered atrium, this map offers complex sightlines, verticality and intricate gameplay scenarios. Get some 2v2's in on Titan. Orion by SecretSchnitzel Players | 8 players Gametypes | Team Slayer, King of the Hill Construct King anyone? Orion was designed around this niche but highly competitive gametype from Halo 3. Orion uses the 1-2-1-3 hill rotation found in MLG Hill gametypes, where the hill moves from the first location, to the second, back to the first and finally to the third. Orion has many elements from H3's Construct but SecretSchnitzel has made this map his own, building on Construct's positive attributes and straying away from its flaws. If you haven't gotten your KotH fix lately, get it here on Orion. The Ark by The Fated Fire Players | 2-8 Gametypes | Team Slayer, Extraction, King of the Hill One of the few terrain based maps in the game, The Ark provides fast paced gameplay across multiple gametypes. This map pushes the envelope in terms of aesthetic quality and competitive merit, The Fated Fire forged this map with high standards and came out on top with a top notch map. Players are in battle within mere seconds of spawning, offering that frantic, chaotic gameplay rarely executed properly in 4v4 maps. M for meta! That wraps it up for this month. Nominate your top 3 maps in September's Nomination Thread! Forge Hub Favorites - Winner's Archive
