August 2013 Voting Hello everyone. This FHF is a little spicy. We have got 10 maps to vote for. The rules state that the top six maps get voted for, and five maps had one vote which qualified them all for the voting round. I can see it now. Three first place winners, three second place winners and four third place winners. Let's do this, vote! Titan by thealm0ndKiller (aka theSpinCycle) and Hahkarazy The Ark by The Fated Fire Fallout by oVR and Chef Linguini Epicenter by Obama on KFC and a Chunk Novus by Zandril Broken Wings by Aschur Orion by SecretSchnitzel Xiphos by Audienceofone Deceiver by Blaze The Park by A Haunted Army The voting ends on August 31, 2013. This has got to be some kind of record...10 voting options... It's going to be very, very interesting to see how it plays out. Congratulations and good luck to all the nominees.
Although I haven't played it, Novus gets my vote. Seeing the work Zandril put into that map including ripping it apart multiple times and really listening to feedback was admirable.
I must extend apologies to the finalists, as I found myself unable to vote. Part of it is that I have not yet played on all of them, and part of it is that I do not feel able to distinguish between the ones that I have. All of the ones I played on were excellent. Congratulations in advance to all nominees, a special congratulations to whomever wins, and thanks to all the forgers for making these great maps.
Ten voting options is broken with 18 voters. Everything is tied. Three voting options next time around, pretty please?
Three voting options? That would mean that those three maps would automatically be FHF'd, voting would only determine which came first, second or third. That seems... weird. We realize that 10 maps is a lot but like I've said before, when 6 maps are supposed to move to the voting round and 5 maps all tied for that 6th slot with 1 nomination each, instead of unfairly eliminating those maps from voting we simply included ALL of them. Personally, I don't see the problem. I know 18 voters isn't much (especially with 10 maps) but the plus side that I see is that we get several maps this month. Win/win if you ask me. And what's wrong with a bunch of ties?
