It bit of both. inspired more by Wizard's geometrical proportions. Only called it Warlock cus i know more people would recognize it easier and it has the opened up bottom mid
the rocks don't effect gameplay and only make it feel less like a forge map and more like a natural map...so i'm not following u on that lol If i could i would make the whole thing look like it was molded out of rocks, trees, and grass
-Warlock (Halo 2) always had an open bottom mid. -Wizard (Halo:CE) had a closed bottom mid. -Warlock is like Wizard's Sister, just like Heretic is Midship's sister. Only Warlock had a little upgrade from Wizard.
Not to mention slight scaling differences and some pieces being larger and breaking up sight lines more than the originals.... Essentially, by my definition, being a lazy attempt at a remake.
all the lines of sight are still the same and proportions are perfect. I've played Halo 1 and 2 a lot and i know what i'm doing. Not to mention i also changed discs between Halo: CE and Halo 2. Please don't try to instigate or antagonize an argument with me by implying my work is lazy. if you don't have anything civilized to say then keep it to yourself, or if you have a problem with anything that comes from me then take it up with me personally and not on a public forum site behind your computer screen.
Ummm, harsh criticism is still civil... Asking me to talk to you personally and implying face to face, however can be interpreted as far from 'civil'. You're sight lines aren't true to the originals, simple as that. More adept forgers that do remakes attempt to mirror everything, not dial in some portions for the sake of easy forging.
Well, to be fair he is correct. The 1x4 pillars were much tinner in the Halo 2 version (see above screenshot that you posted) and so were the archs above the ramps (also see screenshot). The scaling for the midle structure also appears to be larger than the original, and if you'll notice there is no pillar in the center of it leading to the ceiling. Not that it's a big deal, creative liscence and all that. But it's still not an exact remake, which is what Schnitzel was saying. @Schnitzel, no need to insult. Could have just left it at innacurate remake isntead of calling it lazy.
I never implied that it was an exact remake, i even went as far to answer a question that states it is not an exact remake. Halo Reach's Sanctuary was not EXACT to Halo 2 Shutout is not an EXACT remake to Lockout Warlock is not an EXACT Remake to Wizard. Halo Reach's Warlock was not EXACT to Halo 2. Hell even Heretics proportions from Halo 3 are different from Midships Halo 2 Every Halo game is a bit different and that means for a slight change in proportions of maps especially in Halo 4.
Guys, just ignore this one. It's Power Ranger's new account. Not worth the effort knowing who it is now.
Calling it Warlock is a bit confusing though. Anybody who played that map in a custom lobby would just think that it was an inaccurate remake. Also omg POWER RANGER!!!!
regardless of if it is an exact remake or not. In order to get the map popular, it makes sense to name it warlock. as stale as power rangers creative side is, this is still a good map that plays well.
