Hello everyone, I love to forge on halo, play halo, and I currently have my own Fanfiction character going. When it comes to Halo/Rping I have really gotten into the idea of mixing them together, eventually I will change my gamertag to my character's name (or if they ever come out with naming your spartan in Halo then that, or I'll keep the GT and just pretend) and change the armor. Whatever the situation I like to pretend to be my character. Her name is Aila Brayleigh. Aila (eye-luh) means strong in Scottish while Brayleigh means hope. Enough about figuring out my character. I love to forge, I only just started forging on Halo 4 and have completed my first map. I have a bunch of maps and gametypes on Halo Reach lol. I love to forge and treat it like it's another art form (which it basically is). I love to draw and create, so knowing I can make maps I can show off and play on, and build whatever I want almost, it's just so awesome. I can't wait to show you all my maps (playable or not) and see everyone else's. If you would like to know more about my characters feel free to ask, I would be glad to tell you about them.
Honestly, I just saw the picture of the adorable dog and stopped for a moment. But then I read and it was interesting. Fanfic, care to explain what sort of fanfic? Role Play, writing... Good to see a new face around here. I hope to see you around, Sweety.
Writing mainly, it's a Halo fanfiction obviously. Basically she is a former alien forerunner that escaped to Earth when her planet was overrun by The Flood. Alone, and without her forerunner armor she didn't know where to go or how people would treat her. She ends up finding Spartan Armor (not sure how or where exactly yet) and wears. Desperately wanting to be a part of something and forget her past she joins the UNSC and never removes her armor or tells them anything. While on Earth she meets a stray dog and calls her Rain. Aila and Rain now travel with the UNSC, where she can not only forget her past, but also fight off the flood (and other enemies) who caused her planet such despair.
Sounds rather interesting. What if she landed on Reach first, during its fall, and finds spartan armor where some spartains failed holding a position, and escapes to earth by taking a shuttle? You need a dead spartan or a headquarters just to get the armor thing to make sense, and dabbling in reach might be cool. Good to know I have a fellow writer around these parts. I started with a few poorly planned Warriors fanfics and now I'm writing my first big novel (at about 600 pages now, original content and fantasy). I'd be interested to read some of what you have, could give a critique if you like.
That sounds awesome! I planned on her finding it with a dead spartan somehow, maybe she ends up in the in the middle of a battle between the spartans and flood or covenant or something. I haven't started yet I still have idea floating around in my head, but I figured either I would start at the very beginning or start where she finds the armor and just use flash backs. I am also writing a novel, I am only a few pages in, because I am kind of stuck at the moment. In the past I did finish a novel, but I didn't like it so I rewrote it when I went to type it and just never finished it. The one I am currently working is a fantasy.
Not to "rain" on this parade, the armor that the Spartan II program wore was so heavy, that part of the augmentation to their bodies was to enable them(the Spartans)to use the armor. The average human was too small and not storng enough to work with the armor, let alone, part of the augmentation was a cerbrieal implant to be connected to the armor, such a procedure was done during the augmentation.
Bold should fix that bit of lore trouble maybe. I honestly ave no idea, but she's not human! Also, lol @ rain pun
