Jumping In There have recently been two new developments over at halowaypoint.com, that place that 343 Industries likes to hang around. The first of which we all expected, a new Halo Bulletin. It's a nifty little article that will have you reading this time about San Diego Comic-Con 2013 and the Halo 4 Global Championship 2013. I'm just glad that they clarified the year for us. Beyond the weekly news bulletin, we got an announcement that yesterday Halo: Spartan Assault was released on the Windows Store. I'll just jump right in to this one and get you all updated real fast and easy. The Halo 4 Global Championship and Other Activities The most recent update as of yet, released on the 17th, details mostly information about the ongoing tournament hosted in matchmaking. Read the article for more, but I'll give a brief overview of the important bits, as I deem them. Click here to find the full article on halowaypoint.com. • SDCC 2013 and collectible pins. • The Halo 4 Global Championship is underway and a leaderboard has been released (viewable here). Next week's game for this championship will be Rumble SWAT, with variances in gametypes of Rumble SWAT BR and Rumble SWAT Rifles. You can view full statistics on these gametypes and the maps they will be played on the July 17th bulletin. • The following Spartan Ops missions will be offered in matchmaking:- Episode 6, Mission 3: Need to Know - Episode 8, Mission 3: Lancer - Episode 9, Mission 4: Revenge - Episode 10, Mission 3: Seize the Power - Episode 10, Mission 4: Out the Other • Community screenshots featuring the assault rifle. Halo: Spartan Assault The newest member of the Halo family comes to the Windows Store in the form of a top-down action-shooter campaign with 25 unique missions. Halo: Spartan Assault will pull 6.99 USD from your wallet and can be purchased right now digitally for Windows 8 PC, tablets, and/or your Windows Phone 8. See the image below to see a screenshot of the game, and click here to head on over to waypoint and read more about the new game. Auf Wiedersehen I'll be honest, I semi-recently watched Django Unchained again. Still, I thought the title appropriate, especially since "over and out" sounded really bad. Let us know what you think about the bulletin and the new halo game if you like. We would love to hear what you all have to say. As for me, there are a few ideas floating around in my head, so I'll be getting back to the forge. Auf Wiedersehen.
Personally, I love the Halo Wars feel i get from what I've seen (which is very little, i must admit). However, I own no platform it comes out on, so my decisions have been made for me by Microsoft I guess.
I think its a good move for 343 to flex there new found power and release smaller games between their big titles. I'm not a windows person though, so sadly I wont be trying it out any time soon.
