Been working on a bunch of models lately. Thought the Mario universe wouldn't be too difficult, and here's what I have after a day of work:

That's pretty sweet, man. What program do you use for modelling?

Thanks! And I use Cinema 4D and Autodesk 3DS Max for most of my work.

I really dig the sunshine thingy, makes me wish they remade super mario sunshine for 3ds. Hell, just remake all the awesome gamecube mario games.

Maybe you could do mystery box from mariokart?

That's actually what I was going for with that glass box, but the bright light from the lighting room makes it far less apparent, because all of the colors from it are from the way it glows rather than the box itself. Here's what it looks like with a bit more simplistic lighting:

Oh, I thought it was just one of the invisible blocks from the normal mario games.

The models look good. The only criticism I have of them is the first group of models and the environment is perhaps a bit too reflective. Makes it look like everything is made of brushed sheet metal and painted with chromatic paint. I'd add some dirt maps to the textures to break up some of those specular highlights a little and reduce the reflectivity a little more making the effect more subtle yet realistic.
