taken from: News: Microsoft confirms Halo 'Bootcamp' following ratings leak - ComputerAndVideoGames.com The source can be found here: http://www.grb.or.kr/Statistics/Pop...bd4a8ed9742dbcecd98f227eaeaf17ed258610ac557e8 Thanks to Spartan Peter for digging up the video MS has shoved off Halo for PC for some time now, the trilogy cycle series being Microsoft's flagship game for their Xbox Consoles. What are you hoping for? A new PC game? A port of Past Halo games? Most importantly, how do you think this will fair for the Xbox one, now not only (near) game-less but now without the exclusivity of one of it's major titles. also, for some reason, the formatter seems to insist on inserting a new quote between "Korean" and "listing" no matter what might want to get that looked at
I am really, really looking forward to this (As I said in my thread ) The only thing I catched about the game is that it is Third-Person, which is interesting. I dislike the name though, but that is subject to change. Maybe a bit unfair for the Xbox players? A bit, but I'm glad that PC gamers can now also enjoy a Halo game without buying a Xbox. Though, is this a good move? Like you said Halo is Microsoft's flagship game, hell, its the reason that I bought a Xbox, and I thing this will happen again to me, I just like Halo to much But since its Third-Person, doesn't that completely wipe off the idea of Halo 3 PC port? Still, extremely interested!
Just going to take a minute and point out their flagships abysmal population right now. What they did really damaged peoples outlook on halo (not everyone, but many) and I know a lot of people who have switched to PC gaming already because they don't think Halo is going anywhere, and for some Halo was the only reason they had an xbox in the first place. I see this new game as Microsofts way of instilling hope back into players who have left (if this is a halo game and it is for the PC) and possibly push them into buying the xbox one with the prospect of Halo 5 being similar or good (depending on how this new game looks.) That's just my theory though. Either way, I'll definitely be buying if it looks decent and there's none of this "Infinity" crap. I look forward to the idea of a map editor for it... a real map editor, and not just forge.
we've had a proper map editor since CE I recently posted a remake of Foundry though HEK+ is a pain in the ass to use
I think I commented on that map, not totally sure. I know there's been a map editor since CE, but I was never able to get a copy of CE so I've never been able to use it.
NeoGAF - View Single Post - Bootcamp (PC/Halo universe) appears in Korean Rating Board [Up: Microsoft Confirms] I've got the feeling it's not going to be much, especially considering it's for PC and not Xbox 360/One.
People probally expected more, when 343i said they are making a third-person Halo.. Not something that you can play on your phone or Ipad too. I like it, will be fun having a Halo game app on my Phone and Ipad, I think its probally awesome to play on your phone when you want to play a game/kill time. But maybe it has more potential, I don't know. I see people are disappointed too, that it isn't on XBLA. Doesn't bother me that much, but I know people would like it on there. I really look at the main Halo's, I see this as a sort of mini-game.
Can somebody link me to some more information? I think that might be awesome. I don't see why people would expect to see a AAA title in such a short interim. A lot of franchises can really pull off the style, like the new Shadowrun coming out. If it's anything like that, I'd be all over it. If it's more like a flash-based game (or at least look the part) I'll probably pass. Edit: Found the other thread if that's it.
