How do you guys think 343i can make Halo 5's forge world a lot better than the forge island we have now? What kind of items would you like to see? What features do you think 343i has in store?

I agree on a lot of things Oakley mentions in this video:

Some of them should definitely be considered by 343i.

Especially with his idea of forgers being able to change the size of blocks.

There have been thousands of wish lists posted everywhere. A new one appears on this forum once a month, at least. I just think they ought to take it seriously. Dynamic lighting is a nice addition (not perfect - hopefully they'll hammer the bugs out), but it feels like almost the only significant new feature in Halo 4 forge. Compared to the leap made from Halo 3 to Reach, that's not much. I'm really hoping for a radical overhaul of the whole mode, something commensurate with the capabilities of the new generation of consoles & something approaching a real map editor (while still retaining some of the ease-of-use of forge).

I've been saying that they need to adopt both a select all, copy & paste, and undo since Halo 3 and I think still think they should move towards those ideas! Like Oakley mentioned in his video, if we can save whole maps why not save smaller structures. Even more than simply the structures, I think 343 should adopt geo-forging similar to players ability to dramatically change the environment in Far Cry's map editor. Similarly, players could then save their customized canvases for others to use. Tools like this would give the community significant more control over the maps we create.

But all of these improvements to Forge would be nearly worthless if 343 doesn't provide an easier way for users to share content. 343 has taken a good first step with the community playlist; however, I think it should go much further. For instance, if I have a map in my FS that has received 'X' amount of 'likes' it should be automatically implemented in MM. Then after each match players would be prompted to give the map a rating (0-5 stars). Maps that repeated receive low ratings would then be removed and maps that receive high ratings would then be moved into other playlists! It's a simple idea that would have a significant impact on the game and community!
