So i was wondering what are some settings that you can do to your computer so you can run games better. I play a ton of TF2 and it seems that its kinda choppy and laggy when my ping is around a steady 50. I turned down the video settings on TF2 itself but it didn't help any, if not it seemed to be worse.

Update your drivers! Other than that, post the GPU you're using here and google "<Your GPU> Micro-stuttering."

Try running the game, then going to Task Manager, and setting it's priority as high as possible.

    Processor: AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core Processor 3.60 GHz
    RAM: 8 GB
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series. (AMD Radeon Graphics Processor)

Uh.. Dunno what else to say? What other stuff do you need? I've looked at my system info and it doesn't really say anything special.

But i downloaded Razer's Game Booster, and it seemed to do the trick.

Essentially Game Booster finds lower-priority programs and services running on your system and makes the game run at a higher priority than them. If you want to figure out the problem for sure, perform a fresh install. You could easily be running with stuff in the background you will never know about.
