Sanction is a map I built in Halo 3, then in Reach, and one more attempt here on Halo 4. This is by far the best version of the 3 due to canvas map geometry. I utilized the natural geometry to my best and created almost a completely different map so its more of a successor. It plays 4v4 best but supports 5v5. 6 to 8 man FFA is actually fun too. Layout pics: red weapons are initial ordinance and green are random drops. (blue is bottom right, green is bottom left, red is top left and gold is top right) Thanks to the natural geometry this map is less than $5000, lol. It is a fun map and I give thanks to the TCOJ guys for helping me test it a couple times and for everyone else who played it with me other times.
Damn nice map, i love how it looks so nice even with the ugly pieces of erosion. can't wait to play it.
I second that. I really want to smack the genius that figured tan on tan was a good forge idea. They could have just taken the white pallet and dusted it up a little. Either / or, they both are overwhelming in their own way. It's already downloaded, so now if I can get the boys over, I'll have to give this map a go.
Thanks for the comments guys. I agree the erosion pallete isn't the Most appealing. I chose it for the maps geometry to really give new life to an old map I had. The gameplay says it all though so I wouldn't have it any other way.
Well I just finished a game on this map and let me say that this map is the best map on Erosion I have ever played. Not only is it gorgeous to look at but I'am still trying to figure out how you managed to fit the maps geometry into the natural setting of erosion so seamlessly. And all the little trick jumps are so brilliantly placed that you don't notice just how important they are. The main thing i liked about the map is how balanced it is even though blue have a gigantic high disadvantage. The only bad thing about the map is that i saw one dead end in red base which has 3 re-spawn points in it, what is that for? But all in all the map is superb and definitely deserves a FHF.
yeah im with everyone else the erosion pallet sucks, but the way youve melded the map into the natural environment is really sweet, definitely a job well done
yeah the map is amazing and really stands out amongst other maps its a shame that it isnt getting much attention so far.
Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah, Forgehub has been at a lul here lately, but I think a lot of people ignore maps on Erosion anway. I still love this map and have no plans of rebuilding it on another canvas. And I wouldn't consider that a dead end Oxitran. Since there is a ramp right next to it that you can jump up to, its really just a safe spot to spawn but anybody running around that corner wouldn't die from being caught there cuz they can just take that ramp so I don't see it as a dead end. I had the idea to make a version with traditional weapon spawns but I'm not sure if there is even a point to it. Any thoughts?...
