    Sceptre (v1.1b)
    Created by MikeyGeordie & JakTheLad93

    Map Description

"Welcome to Forward Operating Base Sceptre. The UNSC set up this base 2 weeks after touchdown on Requiem. Sceptre served as a beacon for research teams studying the geological wonders of the oceanic plains spanning Requiem. Recently, Infinity Command served Emergency Evacuation orders to the personnel in Sceptre. Heavy losses, to equipment, research and personnel has been observed due to heightened Enemy Activity across the Oceanic plains. The base remains intact and operational as one of very few relay comm centres now, but is managed remotely. Spartan-IV's are on deployment to regain control of this area and Infinity Command hopes to see a fall in combat scenarios."

Sceptre is a map based very loosely on the "Pinnacle" Map Variant from Halo: Reach. With two main levels and a third level with less surface area, but just as much playability, the map has been tested and adjusted to suit all Slayer game types, with the exception of Big Team Slayer. The first observable function of this map is unpredictability; testing has shown significant lack of player prediction, making hopefully for a good SWAT map.

I would like to make a note that this is JakTheLad93's first creation in Forge and I think he's done a great job helping with the map. I understand there's probably more work to be done to this map, so please just give me some pointers. Calling it names ain't gonna help me fix it.

Additionally, if you would like to be Forge Buddies to help with maps like this, send me a Private Message and we'll get some stuff built!

    Hey MikeyGeordie, Welcome to Forgehub!

Considering that both you and JakTheLad93 are relatively new to forging, this map is pretty good. I think you've done a good job creating a map that resembles Ascension (Pinnacle). I haven't played on the map, so I can't give any detailed feedback, but my biggest concern about the map is the lack of cover across the center of the map. Players caught in the middle have little to no cover to hide behind, making them easy targets to pick off for enemies located in either base. One easy fix it so place more rock structures throughout the center area (similar to the rocks placed in and around the center of Ascension).

Anyway, glad you're here at Forgehub. Keep on forging!

Sweet, thanks for the tips! I have about another 6 maps that I've been playing around with when I've not been sleeping. Hope you might be able to have a look once I've uploaded them :D

    Thanks again Hydrolosis!

I like what you have done with this map, and I would not change it too much, but the main structure using the 3 left base and 3 right bases should be made from blocks, not prefab buildings, it just makes it look better IMO. I would leave the rest, and as Hydrolysis said, add some rocks and or trees in the courtyard for cover.

    Decent for a newbie ;D

My problem is not so much the cover but that purple hallway in the 2nd pic. It is like. tiny Anyways... Maybe add a rock spire or something around the middle. It would help alot.

    Welcome to Forgehub :D
