Station 6 - Version 1.0: Design Intent: To create a traditional feeling Halo BTB map for Capture the Flag. I've incorporated the large base elements from Waterworks, the portal play from Containment, and the vehicle combat of Blood Gulch, all into one map. Map Description: This is a rather large "asymmetrically symmetrical" map. 2 Bases are setup on either side of the asteroid's installation. Players can traverse the open areas of the map using vehicles, or traverse the interwoven paths at the center of the map by foot. Players can also use man-cannons for rapid access to the top of the center facility. Portals are located on the top of each base and will take players to the spires (marked in orange and blue above). Each base also has a backdoor route that allows enemy players to sacrifice haste for stealth. Power Weapons: -2 Sniper Rifles -1 Rocket Launcher -1 Spartan Laser -1 Railgun (Underneath the Spartan Laser) -1 Energy Sword (Inside the center facility) Random Ordinance: - Shotgun, Scattershot, Sticky Detonator, & SAW (Yellow locations) - Concussion Rifle, Supressor, & Needler (Purple locations) Vehicles: -4 Warthogs -2 Ghosts -4 Mongooses Let me know what you guys think! I'm open to all constructive criticism.
Too open. Try to add a ton of rocks or something and make some spires people can dodge around. And why do you have a Spazer on a non vehicle map? :/
I agree with Narfidy444 as far as the map being too open. I can see a lot of players getting frustrated because of the lack of cover around the map. Basically if you can get early control of the center base (provides the greatest amount of cover across the map) the other team won't really stand much a chance. So far the map seems very bear bones, but if you simply fill in the skeleton with some additional cover and possibly more bases across the map it should turn out to be a fine BTB map! Narfidy444 must not have read the description of the map very thoroughly. ...b/c you clearly say that it's a BTB map, and has vehicles:
