Hello, fellow map creators. My gamertag is Piano Frenzy and I've been a sucker for forge ever since the day Foundry was released for Halo 3. So far in Halo 4, my projects have been Outskirts (with GoF) and Septic. This map is a submission to the Dust-up 2v2 contest. What can I say? The map has been in the making for a while, and it has been through A LOT of changes. First Version: *OUTDATED* Old Version - Septic (Dust-Up) - YouTube Final Version: Final Version - Septic (Dust-Up). - YouTube After playing a few games on the first version, I quickly realized I needed to break up the middle-area where the benches are placed. It was just too crowded/few routes. So I removed the walls and started playing around. The main idea was a ramp leading up from the elbows to middle. I asked God 0f Forge to help me figure something out, and then all hell broke loose. I want to thank God 0f Forge for helping me with this map. <3 ----------------- Map Name: Septic ----------------- Forge Template: Erosion ----------------- Description: "Small sized symmetrical map. looks nice but the tin cups have an invisible hitbox if you haven't heard...so using them upside down for competitive maps can't really be done if they are in the playspace. There are certain areas that block bullets like they are hitting thin air.
you have to find the location of the botched hitbox and place something over it to block. if you look at Pa1nts's Exia, I think you'll see a good example of this being done.
I don't have much experience with them. I haven't used one in a map yet. But I have read about and seen what others have done. Just take an AR and walk around one shooting so that your shooting laterally across the whole thing and strafe. You'll see the bullet effects hit the air in one or more spots. FYI, Seastack Rocks on Impact have a big problem with this too, but can be twisted and rotated until you find better spots...
I've played flood a total of 0 times in my career and I can probably say the same for Frenzy. If you like the map, I would say feel free to add flood spawns to your liking
