Asunder is a large-scale big team battle/CTF map made on the Forge Islands canvas. It features a figure-eight style vehicle route that weaves between and around two large bases. Asunder was designed from the ground up for epic warthog runs, frenzied flag grabs, and a mix of long and medium range gunplay. Each base spawns with a gauss hog, making heavy and precision weapons a top priority for Spartans on defense. Also located at each base is another warthog with a chain gun, a ghost, and a mongoose.

Cover is abundant in the rift between the bases. Towers suited for sniping and heavy machine gun fire utilize the long sight lines through the canyon.

Each of the bases has multiple points of entry for determined flag grabbers to exploit. Escaping with the flag through the center of the map is a shorter but more dangerous route back to home base.

Wide windows allow for mid-range shooting from base to base and into the canyon. A rocket launcher spawns in the center.

The interior portions of the map are simple and open, allowing a wide range of movement and fluid flag motion.

Ordinance drops supply the Spartans with timely rail guns, SAWs, sticky detonators, needlers, and sniper rifles- a wide assortment of weapons.
    Please download and enjoy!

Simplicity is sometimes the best approach to map making, and I think you've done a great job a creating and designing a simple yet elegant map! I like what I see! I'll give this one a DL!

My only concern is that the center is VERY open and may detract from the experience...but I'll have to get some matches on here before saying if that's the case!

I don't think people are going to touch that MG position in the third image. I would consider adding cover and/or a small trait zone buffing damage/damage reduction/etc., or upgrading to a Shade (that may actually be worse).

Thank you both for your comments!
Hydrolysis, the center area does have a few rocks and trees scattered just out of the camera shot. Still, it is quite open to allow vehicles to traverse but Spartans on foot should have enough cover to duck behind while making their way through the center, at least I hope so.
Tony, you may be right about the MG, although I do anticipate players (especially Pathfinders) to grab the gun off of the tripod before making an assault on the enemy base. It has quite a wide field of fire on the enemy approach, so defensive players may see use of it as well. Thank you for your advice- I tend to shy away from trait zone use, but a piece of cover there might be perfect.

This looks like a very simple, clever, and fun map. I'll definitely give this one a try.
