Hello everyone, today I am here to bring you Mombasa. Mombasa is an asymmetrical big team battle map made by MockKnizzle008 and myself. We started the map probably about a month after Halo 4 came out, and spent about two months testing it. It's been finished for a while, but hasn't been posted on the forums before now. The map draws inspiration from Port Authority, a map Mock and I made in Halo: Reach. The map supports long sightlines and vehicle combat mixed with tight indoor spaces. all within an urban setting hearkening back to Halo 2. The best game modes to play here are Team Slayer and Extraction, with One Flag CTF and Extraction being options as well. There are two regular warthogs, two ghosts, and a neutral rocket 'hog. Thanks for checking out our map everyone!
Gorgeous as always Duck... and Mock... can't forget Mock What did you use for that bridge in the center? Like pieces and rotational snapping. Cause I have an idea for a map that utilities that kind of curve as a back route for vehicles. And I kindof need to figure it out before I can go any further with it.
Thanks man, the central high road is just made of 5x5 blocks with the overlap covered by the Catwalks from Ravine and Forge island, of course you could pull it off using different pieces too. i guess the trick is just to use something to hide the overlap in the objects.
SO FAST! Cool thanks man. I am trying to make it on forge island cause its just a giant floating urban thing. Although it sucks cause they made the bridges white so my roads don't look like roads anymore...
Great looking map Psycho Duck! I definitely remember playing some games on Port Authority, and if this is anywhere as good it should be a great addition to my growing list of BTB maps! Keep up the great work my man!
Ah. Yeah, was a little while ago that we have seen this map. I was that guy who had the same idea XD. I guess I make mine on Forge Island, has some nice flat terrain... Great job on this map, to pull off something like this on Ravine.. Man, that is really awesome. Your map, Port Authority was a big success, and this map looks like a great one to continue that legacy, nice work the both of you. Legendary map, as always Also remembers me to download it..
