Platea is a symmetrical map; Platea is built for big team play. Trees and rocks cover the map varying in size and design, which provide an ample amount of cover for both opposing teams.

Automated turrets deploy below the platform, according to the gametype, which will target any enemy player that strays too close. Triangular barricades will also deploy in front of each individual turret for added protection without restricting view. This platform can be accessed by a Man-Cannon (Heavy), which is located on the second floor of two opposing structures, either can be reached by foot and/or Teleporter.

Both opposing sides are identical in layout in terms of design and weapon, and vehicle placement.

Each base can be access from the right and left sides. The right includes a exterior ramp, which doubles as a bunker which shapes the entrance and encloses a Mongoose, which leads to the roof; the roof also includes a hatch opening which a player can use to fire down or drop into the main room where, according to the gametype, the flag is housed. A Shotgun can also be found leaning against a large crate at the back of the base.

A One-Way-Shield connected by two interlinking walls, which block oncoming vehicles from its opposing side, however infantry can reach the other side of the barricade by a diminutive doorway. A Sniper Rifle can also be found on a sniper platform interlaced with the barricade and a Ghost.

I’m uncertain why 343 chose to remove some of the most basic “Natural” elements from the listings as I would have found multiple uses for all of them, but one must make the best out of what he/she has got and I’m satisfied I did just that.

I'm loving the use of the Base Stripes in Pic #9. Haven't seen them used that way before.

Is the name supposed to be plateau? It looks like a pretty good map but a misspelled title could take away from your credibility and people might not want to check it out. That could be the way you want to spell it, or a word I don't know but if not you should change it.

Your right it was "Plateau" but I removed the "U" because I didn't like how it appeared in the Title Image, but I'll change it if I have to

I just think people need to really make up for the flat ground in this map. Moving things closer together or adding more cover can do alot to fix this. On my most recent map, I used the entire budget with no lag problems. Your map looks like it has potential, but you need to put more into the structures and fill in the surrounding flat areas with more natural cover.

this map looks decent and it has many interesting aesthetics, but the main problem i see with this map is the lack of cover and elevation. many of the areas look like they have very long sight lines which lead to some very frustrating and unbalanced gameplay. the map also appears very flat and bland, maybe you could add more elevated areas and structures around the map, doing this would eliminate the flat feeling a bit and it would break some off the sight lines allowing for a mixture of long and close range battles which would overall balance the map out a lot. this map has potential, but there is still a lot that needs to be done.

I wanted to create a simple map for a change, but I hear your concerns; I'll try adding more elevated areas, where I feel is appropriate. As for my spenditure I have just over $1100 which should be more than adequate, if not, I may have to delete or otherwise swap around a few items

The map has been updated and re-submitted to my file share, link in the usual place; as has the screenshots in this thread, hope you find this version more to your liking. Not much has be done with it in terms of cover, except of couple of boulders, however the left and right structures now give the player access to the roof and stronger aesthetics have been added.
