    Cypress is a medium sized symmetrical map built around the smallest of the three islands. The island itself acts as a circular courtyard that runs underneath the center of the map. A large arched bridge rises over the courtyard and underneath, a second bridge runs directly through the center of the map. The outside routes of the map are flanked with two story, glass-covered buildings. The main bases are large halls exposed at the front with a team colored shield. The shield can be broken for drop in entry from the catwalks above.

    The map gets its name from the large trees that were assembled in the center of the map. The two largest Cypress TreesTM are made of 10-15 trees each, giving them and old growth look and allowing for a much denser and taller tree that can actually be used for cover when standing behind the trunk.

    The map looks really nice, but how is it for framerate? That circle structure made out of antennae looks like Halo's framerate hotspot. The use of curvature on the map is done very well, to aid the natural feel. However, I am worried about the gameplay in terms of the linear layout, relatively simple two-base design, and narrow open walkways.

    I will be downloading this ASAP. Very original. I love the huge bridge, circular roof and great tree placement. Nice stained glass too. I just learned the trick to this but haven't used it yet. Maybe we could take turns on each others maps sometime. Ill send you a friend request tommorrow.

    : ) no but honestly just another great maki creation, proud to say i got to see this come together from the very begining
    and i had a building buddy to work along side while we were shaping our masterpieces. thanks.

    just posted mine, only cause you nagged me.

    this map is very beautiful and you did a wonderful job with it. there is a framerate issue with the center structure while looking through in the direction of the level under the bridge (level 2 of 3), but I didn't notice anything while looking at the antenna top or on the 3rd level (bridge), just below the bridge it seems. if I had to guess I would say the main problem is the purple dominion shields, but you'd have to delete them and see if the framerate issue goes away. sucks because they really add a lot of flavor to forge pieces.

    As Berb stated, there may be a problem with open hallways/walkways, I personally only notice on the 3rd level ramp walkways as they don't have anything blocking LOS but they wrap around the map. Great job though, I love the map.

    Thanks for the feedback guys. I honestly haven't noticed any framerate issues on the map. To me it seems like you are able to do much more on Halo 4, as far as intricate and dense design, compared to Reach, before running into lag.

    Hope you get some games in on it, to see if it's an issue here.
