Coconut Mall MKWii v2 *Added compatibility for Race v1.1* This is my remake of the track from Mario Kart Wii. It is compatible with the RACETRACKS game type. To simulate the escalators I used color-coded ramps where the red ones slow you down via gravity volumes and the green ones do not slow you down. Ooo.. On Forge Island, someone with a lot of creativity.. I would want to see that. Sounds pretty impossible though. I like this map though, seen a lot of Mario Kart remakes.. I like the idea of the elevating staircase, put people will probally be very confused the first time. A pity that these maps mostly don't look to well, to be honest.
Getting pretty close to finished with my Yoshi Valley on Forge Island. Not sure how I would simulate the bouncy mushrooms other than base shields. Maybe could hide them in the floor on the red mushroom platforms. Might do Yoshi Circuit from Double Dash.
Just curious : How much budget do you have left on this map Turb? And (If you have made enough progress) how much budget do you have left on Yoshi Valley?
On Coconut Mall I believe I have a whopping 5 to spend. Yoshi Valley I have maybe 400-600 left. I'd love to get some feedback on Yoshi Valley from someone who remembers the original on the 64. Should be able to post a beta version soon.
