    Player Count: 2-4 Players

    Gametypes: Slayer

Description: Anvil is a symmetrical map designed for 2 to 4 players. The map has an arena type layout with more of a room based feel around the outside. I took inspiration from Haven, Simplex and Agony (Quake 2.)

As for the layout: Top mid is connected with Red 2, Blue 2, Gold 2 and Green 2, but has height advantage over them. There are some sightlines into bottom mid from around the map that make for drop downs players can use. You'll find a Sticky Detonator at bottom mid, a Damage Boost spawning Gold 1 and an Overshield spawning on Green 1. There are various other weapons around the map as well as grenade perches which can be used as jumps from Gold 1 and Green 1. My goal for this map was to combine the functionality of pieces to make encounters more interesting with height variation. I also generally wanted to combine a room based feel with a middle similar to a few of my favorite arena maps.

A solid 2v2 arena with plenty height variation and tac-jumps. I liked this far more than I expected when we were getting footage with fenix. Not much to say other than that.

Another well designed map PAINTS! My only thought for improvement is about the aesthetic appeal of the map. Because of the dynamic lighting, closed off areas tend to look ugly IMO...an easy solution is to change the some of the ceiling from Wall Colosseum pieces to Windows Colosseum pieces. Other than that I think your map is solid! Great job!
