    A competitive map by Juanez Sanchez

    Supports CTF, KOTH, Slayer, Extraction
    and Oddball

    2-10 players

    Hello all.
    This map has been in the works for a few months now, I have been testing it with the courageous and patient fellows of the TCOJ, who have provided me with the best help and feedback around. Shout out to those guys. W00t.

    Designed around the principle of holdable/set-upable and defined areas, Radiant has many routes to three distinct positions.

    This map supports most gametypes apart from dominion, It's standout games being KOTH and Extraction. As you can see above, there are 5 extraction sites, and 6 KOTH hills. The CTF flags spawn on opposite sides of the map as shown, however certain roof elements have been removed in the photo above to allow a clearer[SIZE=4] view of the map. [/SIZE]

The three areas represent positions that are both powerful and vulnerable, with weapons i[SIZE=4]n them that can tur[SIZE=4]n the tide or control the pace of battle[/SIZE][/SIZE][/SIZE][/SIZE][/SIZE][/SIZE][/SIZE][/SIZE][/SIZE]. ​

The Sniper at Purple and Beam rifle at Top Gold counter each other well, and are allowed some longer sightlines to defend those spots.
    Random ordnance drops several types of power weapon both at Purple and bottom Green. Random ordnance also drops grenades and a sticky det. at either red or blue slayer spawn.

    SPAWNING
    RADIANT supports static spawns for CTF, chained to either base, and Dynamic spawns for all other gametypes. For CTF, both teams spawn right next to their flag, but for all other gametypes teams spawn in the top blue and red 'corners', and work their way out to objectives from there.

    That's really all the crucial info, the map has had lots of testing so it's pretty much complete, but I am open to suggestions and/or critique. Heres a few action shots anda video of a recent game of KOTH. Apologies for the poor quality but I haven't been able to set my capture card up yet, so its recorded on a digital camera!!     Juanez, this map is fantastic. Every game here has improved as the weeks went on. This map looks stellar and plays better, and one I would recommend to anyone.

    I really think there should be a Greatest Hits of TCOJ game one night, just for fun, and so we can play this again. Excellent work, Juanez. I look forward to what comes next from you.

    Thanks Audi, I haven't put a map on here since waaaay back on Reach, so it's wierd and cool at the same time to open this up for everyone to see.
    I am glad that 'yall enjoyed playing it, heres to more good TCOJ maps :)

    I really like this dadgum map of yours, Juanez. Have enjoyed playing many games and many different gametypes on it; I think it's the best thing you've made. Congrats on this release.

    This one's certainly been thoroughly tested. Even the early games on it, before things were refined, were fun. It's a great looking and solid playing map.

    I LOVED playing on this every time. Even the first time I played this, it felt finished. It is definitely worth downloading and checking it out.

    You should enter this map into the CG Tournament Maps and see how far it gets. Change the weapons around to match their guidelines, but other than that, It looks AMAZING!!

    Great job on this one. You put so much work in to this map testing and tweaking around gameplay, always giving me confidence in the quality of the maps you make. Kudos to you & congrats on feature...well deserved!

    Played a few customs on this map today! This map has a really nice flow to it, and good LoS that constantly keep players on their toes. My only real complaint about the map is the color scheme. I understand that it's important to keep players oriented (especially on maps with complex layouts) and that color scheme is an effective way to do just that; however, I feel that the layout of your map is simple enough that coloring every major section the map isn't justified. Again this is only my opinion, but I feel that too much color variation can detract from the aesthetic appeal of a map. Anyway, this is only a minor problem, overall the map is awesome! Can't wait to see what you create in the future!
