Since this turned into the usual thread of people hating and defending halo 4 in turn, I'd just like to say if they removed personal ordinance (or reduced it) for halo 4 then my gaming experience for halo 4 would be perfect.

Heyo, new topic. I'll use question format because it allows for more variety in discussion.

My opinion? Nothing should be in personal ordnance. Anything too strong and it's just lost map movement. Anything too weak and it's not worth giving up your location for.

Take Dust-Up for example. Why in the name of the world are DMRs, Frags, and Magnums options as PoDs? I personally only use my PoDs in that gametype when I want to switch grenades. IMO, they're that useless.

If anyone is willing to summarize the opinions on both sides (or a majority agreement), then this thread could also be turned into a good reference page..

Personal Ordnance is not a good or bad mechanic in its current state in Multiplayer. It just adds the aspect of randomness. Personally, I only favor its use in providing ammo for starting weaponry. Good players who are able to survive long enough up until the point of ammunition deprivation shall be rewarded with more bullets, and bad players who do not survive long will not notice the benefit, altogether encouraging competitive gameplay and improvement. New players will either have to get better, or else...they will be shining the good players' shoes.
