Map:Photo Booth (impact) By: TrashnSuicide Supports: Regicide, Team In need of a new screen shot? or maybe a machinima set then this map is worth a look. It has many locations for Screenshots and Video footage Invite and Slaughter your friends for some epic kill capures, or get that hard to organize clan photo. All Weapons and Vehicles are available, Teleport fast travel system. The Map serverd it's purpose for me. Have fun with it everyone. let me know what you think and any feed back.
Not bad... it's got some room for improvement... Not exactly sure how though as I never thought about making one of these maps. Taking a quick look and run through of the map in forge it was kinda difficult to know where good spots are to take screens. But maybe that is just me since I never used one of these maps. Walking up the ramp (which was pretty sloppy forging) to the flood lights and standing in front doesn't look good as the light washes out color of the photo. I dunno. At least I see it doubling as a cool testing map if you want bring someone into the game who never played before to try all the weapons and vehicles. Anyway, in short, I just think you can do much more cooler "scenes" with it to have as backgrounds to stand in front of. Unless I am missing something. I do like it though. The platform with all the weapons and vehicles is cool.
After going back into it later I kinda hate it now, it is sloppy but will serve it's purpose. I shot all of the above screen shots in one round of regicide. I will make more of these maps but think a linear style layout for guiding the player would improve it. My first attempt at this style map, I mainly forge competitive maps but will play around with these a bit longer. Thank you for the feedback, I'll try and patch the spotlight issue. maybe a shield over the light source will defuse it a little. I'll see what I can do. Take care all. that 4v4 map looks really cool. As for the spotlight, I think it's just you have to stand too close to it, so it's really bright. maybe extend the platform so you can move forward more infront of it. I dunno if I would abandon it but if you think of cool improvements why not fix, ya know? I like the idea of a photo booth as screen shots are cool especially to mess around with in photoshop.
This seems like a very useful map for screenshots. I was actually making something similar to this and I think what you have here is nearly the same thing.
