Hello everyone. Hope you like the map. I wanted to make a map that had a good balance of dogfighting in banshees and close quarters combat. In this map 2 teams fight for the Mothership's 3 control points on board the ship: Bridge, Hangar bay, and middle section. Taking control of each control point also offers it's own advantage. The hangar bay offers an additional banshee to fight outside with, the middle section brings the ships external guns online, blasting enemy banshees, and the bridge offers a weapon drop. The top of the ship also features 2 very beefed up shade turrets. Also be aware when you are outside the ship, gravity is 50%. That's pretty much it, hope everyone likes it.
Welcome to Forgehub! Your map post is required to have pictures of your map. You must also host the map in your file share for it to be eligible for posting on our forums. Please contact me if you have any problems doing this. Any post in this thread will be considered spam until pictures are posted! In 24 hours if no picture is up, I will lock this thread. Please message me if you are unsure how to add screenshots. Good luck.
. Thanks for the quick reply! Yeah, I haven't used photobucket or anything like that before. I uploaded them and posted the link at the bottom. How would I go about posting the screens up directly?
in photobucket click the picture you want, wait for it to load, look at the bottom right of the screen it should say something like "IMG Code" or something and then a box next to it with what looks like a website url. click inside this box and itl automatically copy the link. then paste it on your thread here and the picture will appear.
outside looks pretty good but killballs usually never look good. Also, if the inside of the ship has no dynamic lighting... you will need to use all 4 gadget lights in a creative way or it will just look like poop. This is why they call me the "Light Man".
Along with the suggestion above me, try using extraction pieces to add a bit more light to the ship. You'll find them in Objectives, and use the one on the bottom. It offers a bit of light and can be really useful for aesthetic purposes. Map looks good by the way!
I do agree with the light suggestions. The middle section and front of the hanger bay are particularly somewhat darker than they probably should be. I don't know if I'm willing to compromise the locations I currently have my 4 lights in though! The red flashing light is on the bridge, and yellow flashing light in the hanger bay, which both look great. I also have a red and green light on the wing tips like modern day aircraft: Probably something nobody will ever notice, but I think it's pretty cool! I am also budget capped. But i'll see this weekend if anything is worth trading. Thanks for the tips! I'd also like to download a map this weekend and see if I can offer some feedback of my own. Any comments on this in terms of gameplay? Thanks again. [br][/br]Edited by merge: So.. anyone interested in playing some matches on this this weekend? I'll player somebody elses map in return and offer feedback.
