Redoubt: Please give advice...

    Its been a while since Ive done a more open map again, nevermind create a specific gametype for it. But I've stepped up to the challenge, some parts had to be scrapped, some parts were added and some were modified, but I kept true to the orginal idea, a ruined tower (sort of) surround by old structures.​

    Now, on to the map. Redoubt!​

    Redoubt is expected to be played with the Scavenger Gametype only.​

    In Scavenger, you start off with an Assualt Rifle (I thought Magnums would be too powerful early on), 150% Damage Resistence and no shields. In order to win, you need to get additional weapons which can have varing amounts of ammo and varing spawn times. It is important to note that some weapons are either hidden or in places you wouldn really look or expect.​

    To give you an idea on where to look, here are some clues...​

    Climb to the summit.
    Seriously guys whats with that orange thing?
    This is the tip of the iceberg guys, so trust me, dont look down.
    Who managed to get in that tiny spot?
    A last stand in a corner maybe? Better wait before we check.
    Hidden in a crack on the edge.
    How did that manage to stay on that rock!
    Another tip of the iceberg... only round...
    They didnt say that caves are good places to hide stuff for nothing!
    Better be careful, that could fall on somebodys head...
    Find where the light shines through at the camp.
    The last grass and rock before the wall.
    Our favorate toy! Stuck in a corner!
    Take a leap of faith around the cliffs, better find the toy first...

    Feel free to say where those weapons are and what they are... or keep silent about it if you want...​

    Im currently looking to test this, so if anyone wants to help test this give me a PM.​

    Both the map and gametype are on my fileshare..​

    tldr; but I think everyone is "ignoring you" is because the map looks thrown together, with use of the premade pieces everywhere, and not that much edit coordinates going on.

    I'm not sure what to make of this. I don't see any structure, it's just some bridges and walls thrown up. The large building made of walls looks odd and fragile, and it's the most structural thing here. This doesn't feel like a map to me, just a bunch of messy buildings. Think about architecture, look at buildings in the real world and compare them to this. You can make nice structures that look good and work well for map design. I wish I could say more, but I can't begin to think of what could improve this, because nearly anything would improve it. I'm terribly sorry to say this, and remember it is only opinion, though it is all my truthful thought.

    Also, stop feeling so sorry for yourself. I don't think that anyone likes the kid who just sits in the corner despite all of his friends. I know that statements like "...or everyone can just ignore me again..." make me not want to help.
