That is true, it would be very easy to add something like that to multiplayer. It would be extremely easy to fix a lot of the issues everyone is bitching about (i.e. Flood weapon customization). Let's just blame corporate Microsoft as I don't see who else calls the shots, they write the checks.
Vehicles are included in the map's files themselves, they could add any vehicle they want to any new map they'd want to. It's quite similar to Halo CE custom maps with custom vehicles, it's the same idea. Besides, it was done in Avalanche back in Halo 3. All the vehicles were different from the standard vehicles, but in this case it was just the texture although they could've just done whatever they pleased with it. Still sad they didn't add a warthog with tracks.
I have a feeling that skyline is going to be like what happened with harvest. That is going to be in the background and the actuall map is going to have nothing to do with it. Landfall looks like its gonna be good. I am looking forward to a ton of romantic Machinimas on that little glass look out peice, over looking the gorgeous sunset and the, burnt, broken, crumbling city... (pause for effect) anywho. Monolith looks like its gonna be small, but I think they are going to pull of another BTB on us. That makes me sad cause we have to forge all the decent 4v4 maps then...
BOTH gametypes need A LOT more maps, not just 4 vs 4. You act as if the Crimson map pack was for Big Team. None of the 3 maps were made for 16 DMRing fools even though they shoved 2 of them in the BTB playlist. Well I guess Shattered can fit 16 but it's certainly not big enough (and it sucks ass IMO). Wreckage is a mess with 16 people especially when the action goes into the center structure. I've seen framerate drops below 10 FPS in there. You also make it seem like there are no decent 4 vs 4 maps. All of them qualify as decent except Abandon which is only good for Flood. Haven is way better than decent. and I actually like Complex and Adrift. For BTB I like 3 maps, and that's only when I can have fun on them which is not much.
Monolith looks like snowbound. Looking good. In Reach and Halo 4, visuals have been dull for multiplayer maps. Glad to finally see interesting designs
Seriously? you're not getting another forge map. 343/CA/Micro soft has done absolutely **** as far as listening to fans thus far what makes you think they are going to put a fourth forge map into a map set they have been making since before game release when everyone thought the three maps we were getting at the start was enough?
going to wait and see if there are framerate complains before I buy this... not going to pay to be frustrated. any map sold for Halo 4 (sold, not made) needs to be compatible with 2 player splitscreen (at least)
I'm so unbelievably excited to see Monolith. I'm just really hoping it doesn't turn out to be massive like all the other "small" maps in Halo 4's lineup so far. Oh. And also framerate, as many have stated before me. Sure, they definitely know how to make maps look pretty, but at a certain point it's just not worth it if the framerate ends up being complete ****. I remember during the "trial version" of the first DLC pack, it seemed like every other game I played on Wreckage ended in me rage quitting due to crazy amounts of framerate in the center area. But having said all that, I'm super pumped to get my hands on these
I think if there is only going to be 3 map packs for a game like this, they should each have 5 maps. Maybe if every map was good in the game I wouldn't feel that way... but that never happens. 25 to 30 maps would be a nice amount (total in-game) after all DLC is released.
