just a quick question, before i start posting the map I have been working on, I was wondering, as for as far as the rules go, from what i understand, i need to upload to the forum both Screen Shots and a Video Clip of the Map in action, however, From what I understand, the Bungi.net website no longer allows this... I did see one Forum saying that I would need somebody with some software/piece of hardware to do it for me, but in all honesty, that sounds awfully painful just to share my map with people? anyways, so I dont break the rules, if anybody is interested in playing my map with me, just PM me. It has both regular slayer, and CTF variants. its title is "Sparta for Spartans". I spent quite a while on it, and coming from a game development background, I really tried my best. anyways, there is just about everything that a real map would have, I have made sure to include every type of weapon, skill, including innovative ways to not allow teams to be overpowered in any ways. its also race for the heavy machinery, as they only spawn once. and between the minefield, the many custom bunkers, secret passages, and harmonized power up locations around the land scape, there should be much to explore. this is also not to mention i have tried to make great use of all the different scenery options, such as rocks and natural things, to give the area a great comfortable feeling. and on another note, i have paid close attention to scale, so that things just feel real. the file is located in my file share at the moment, however, i plan to post it here on ForgeHub. my barrier to entry is that i have yet to figure out how to get screen shots and videos of my work on to the PC (as stated previously). i have only had reach for a few days tho, and im sure the great people here at this Forum will be able able to help! until then, i will continue to look thru the forum, using the search capabilities, and private messaging who ever i come across that could be of any assistance. i guess in summary A) now that the bungie website has changed, are these rules still applicable to the process of posting a map, and B) if this is so, then if anybody is interested in playing privately with me for the time being, send me a PM and add my gamer tag to the Xbox! Thanks everybody111
Welcome to Forgehub, man. Regarding the rules, it is not required that you have both screenshots and a video, but you will need at least one of those to present the map being posted. Since the Halo franchise is now owned by 343 Industries, the filesharing option you're looking for was moved to Halo Waypoint. Unfortunately, 343 has yet to activate the online filesharing system, thus is the reason others have suggested those alternative methods. With that said, your best options are to find somebody with a capture card to create a video from some footage, use the screenshot extractor [That I imagine would work with both Reach and Halo 4], or simply take pictures from your phone. Shoot me a friend request on XBL if you'd like. I still get on Reach occasionally.
