Map Name: "Blam! Ball (Uncensored)" Players: 2-8 So I learned that if you try to save a map as a word Halo has determined inappropriate, it will be replaced with the word "BLAM!" I did a little research and found that it was an alternative to the codename "MonkeyNuts" for Halo while the creators were working on it. Nonetheless, it seemed like it was meant to be. I wasn't sure what to name the map and just entered in a quick reference to suffice until I thought of a better name... but what better name than Blam! could there be? The mechanics of this map were inspired by a map called "Black Mesa" created by cpt turdballs. I messaged the captain and let him know it would be leading my next project and would credit him in the map description. Now onto the game... The map is designed for Oddball, Griftball and King of the Hill. The layout is a large ramp with an automated and continuous avalanche of Soccer and Golf balls. Yes, they can kill you. "Blam! Ball (Uncensored)" by TestMyCake is available for download on Halo 4 File Share. Use standard Oddball, Griftball, or King of the Hill gametype. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, TestMyCake
Although this seems like a lot of fun, I think this belongs in the social maps section as it looks to be more of a sort of minigame than something competitive.
I debated on that before posting it here. My ultimate decision to post here was based on the fact that the Social maps forum only has Griftball as an applicable option, whereas this forum offers KOTH and Oddball. Of course, it is set up for all three. I won't mind if a Mod moves it, but I don't think it necessarily qualifies as a minigame. I think if you play it against another player or players, you will find it very competitive. I hope you download and enjoy the map. I could really use some feedback also (on all my maps). Thus far, only myself and occasional company are able to test the maps. This probably sounds crazy to the Halo community, but the only reason I have the game is because I found it in the trash. Typically, I'm one of those people that waits until a game is completely old news and gets marked down or can be found cheap on eBay. I found this game peaking out at me from a trash can, and picked it up with the intention of selling it. I took it home, put it in my Xbox to see if it worked, and next thing I know, I'm addicted and entered in the Virgin Gaming Halo Infinity Contest. I finished 30th Place in Tier 1 of the Wargames competition. Before Halo 4 and the addition of the Mobility ability, I often found myself slowly moving through maps trying to just find someone to shoot at. Of course, I had only really played Reach, because a friend of mind had it and used to bring it over on weekends to play. I didn't even know about Forge, or I would have given the game more of a chance. Unfortunately, most of my friends are poor and can't afford the game yet. Keep in mind, I did find it in the trash, if that tells you anything. Anyway, like I was saying I could use some Feedback. I've just begun to start taking Friend Requests because during the Contest I didn't trust the motivations of the 30 or so, requests I would get a day. I figured it was just people trying to track or thwart my attempt at winning the truck. Now that I'm looking for testers, I haven't been playing online much and have mainly been working on Forge. I usually release all my maps to my 'Friends' first, and then post them here, but the few that have Halo 4 haven't had much time to help lately. By the way, thanks for the suggestion, and like I said, I'll be fine with it being moved. If you want sneak previews of my maps or are willing to help out with testing send me a request, I'm not turning anyone away at this point. lol. Thanks, TestMyCake
