I checked to see if this thread had been made by anyone, and it hasn't. I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced a really strange moment in Halo 4. I just had one this evening while playing Flood mode. Near the end of the second round, just as the "Last Man Standing" notification was announced, I was heading towards the LMS marker. I noticed a red dot on my Motion Tracker. I was puzzled for a moment, because the LMS marker was in front of me and this red dot was behind me. So I turned around to go after the target when I discovered that the Spartan behind me was not the same color as everyone else(in Flood mode, all Spartans are a bright neon green). This Spartan was Blue(Primary) and Red(Secondary), had no AA, and had no weapons. Now, I assumed that this was just one of those freaky situations where a player got killed just as he activated his hologram and it just took off on it's own, defaulting to the player's chosen color scheme for his Spartan. Nope, because I went through the roster of the people playing the match, and none of their emblems matched the one on this guy's shoulder, which was the Grunt Emblem against a rectangle background. Really weird.
Sometimes that happens. Sometimes when people join a Flood game in progress their armour will not turn yellow. Also similar lag glitches in flood have made all my allies come up as enemies and had us spawn with an AR and a Magnum. Fairly wierd how the AR found itself in a flood game. Also, not that strange, but I got a kill one time, died strait after, hit respawn and killed this guy right infront of me. It said I got a double kill, even though I died inbetween the two kills.
That's actually happened to me so often I don't even bat an eye at it any more. Instant respawn has made that fairly easy - they really should break it when you respawn so that multikill streaks are interrupted.
The strangest thing that ever happened to me was me being killed in one hit by a Boltshot from about ten metres away. The funny thing is, it happens all the time! Ha. Ha. Ha. On a more serious note, the strangest thing that happened to me was when I was driving a Ghost on Complex. I sped around a rock to face my enemy and must have hit a rock or something, because the next thing I know I'm flying in the air, spinning wildly miles away from the map. Good job I wasn't on a Killing Spree otherwise I wouldn't have found it too amusing.
Aha, the invisible catapult returns. I saw a lot of Fails of the Weak vids on this for Halo Reach. Edited by merge: That's possible. But the other thing I forgot to mention is that I ran up to the guy and hit him. My hits did no damage, and the guy virtually ignored me. He was just running in a straight line, didn't even stop till the round ended. To get a Double kill, you have to kill two opponents within 4.5 seconds of one another. You might have been within the window of opportunity to get that DK.
Sometime people spawn in flood with their custom colors and a weapon not seen in flood ever. They do not belong to either team and have no markers either way, and some of them respawn after being killed by flood. I refer to them as Legendmakers. So far I have encountered 3: DMR The Undefeated. (me with a DMR, I could not die and killed multiple of both teams) AR The White: (White guy with AR, died and then quit out.) The Three Grey Kings: (three grey guys with shotguns. Although having no marker, when I killed the last one the game ended.)
this would be mine lol. Man the other team must of been pissed! its one thing to have to play against me in swat but to have a ****ing guy with no head on my team. just pure devastation. Halo 4: NO HEAD HACKER!!! | PHAZON VII | Captured by KAZEROID - YouTube
^LMAO THAT **** WOULD MAKE SWAT A NIGHTMARE strangest moment for me...i was n the middle of assn. a dude and somebody started assassinating me at the same time and my connection lagged (i guess?) and both animations were playin simultaneously so it was like a train...lmao
I heard about those. Jack Patillo (I hope I spelled Jack's last name correctly, if I did not, sorry my bad) from Achievement Hunters talked about those guys on Achievement Hunter Weekly Update #144. Those guys are hackers and playing on a modded 360. Next time you see someone like that, report him, what their doing is cheating. I don't understand the point of it. What purpose does it serve? Never mind, I just figured it out. Without a head, players can't score headshots. Cheating bastard deserves to be banned. I just watched the clip, and if the other team was pissed, I don't blame them one bit. I would have been fracking Rage Quitting.
You don't actually need a modded xbox to do that hack, it's relatively easy to pull off. Not that I know the exact details as doing this will get you instantly on the ban list.
