Boardwalk from Halo: Reach. Has that ever been considered?
I wouldn't say it was the most fun to play, but I for some reasoson have this strange attraction to it. It's pretty damn good looking, for one. So has this ever been thought about? Is it a hard one to make?

i did like boardwalk, and would like to see it remade.

i havent considered remaking, but i have thought about using aspects of it for something new.

have fun with it if you do :)

I actually just finished building a "reimagining" of boardwalk which I think is promising; I may put up a preview sometime soon if you're interested. It is basically a more streamlined and symmetrical version of the map designed to eliminate some of the campy areas. I will say that boardwalk is probably one of the more complex and open maps to remake which will bring a serious challenge in terms of frame rate if done in enough detail to do the map justice.

I finished a remake of boardwalk over 2 months ago but never released it due to the fact that the dynamic lighting breaking, the screen lag and the map overall looking unfurbished. All the sightlines were perfect and all the scales were correct, in fact ill put it up on my fileshare so you guys can see but there are so many framerate issues which literally cannot be fixed due to the openness of the map so yeah as far as a proper playable excellent quality remake, unfortunately in halo 4's frge it is impossible. i spent weeks on my remake and realised that too late. I did however just finish a remake of countdown so if you guys liked that map then check it out :)

Funnily enough, I made a map which was heavily inspired by Boardwalk called Archangel. It got less like boardwalk as I went along though.

Just curious - have you tried the in-game custom search? I found a few remakes not showcased here that were actually pretty good.

Well there you go, make us a remake of Boardwalk would you please? As acurate as you can, and don't worry if anyone else has remade it, hell yours might be the best one yet!

Here is my preview if you're interested. I'm sorry to self-promote, but I figured you'd like to see that I made a frame-rate friendly map that compromises and alters some of Boardwalk's structure, but the map was for the most part reproduced. I may at some point decide to try a detailed remake but as Arcasius said above it will probably be impossible for it to be lag-free.
