Remake Lockout

    Hey I'm new to this site but I did a remake of Halo 2's lockout a while back and I wanted to share it with a few people, I've spent quite a bit of time playing it in custom mode with friends and it is a lot of fun. The map is faithful to the original and I tried to be as accurate as possible, however there are certain things that I was not able to recreate exactly. That being said virtually all the old paths and jump paths are available and the lines of sight are pretty much the same. Give it a try and let me know what you think, also check out my re-imagining of lockout that I also made it's intended for 6-16 players and has additional levels. Oh and one other thing, I made the mistake of starting this map while playing on a friends forge map, in order to finish it I had to delete everything he had built but it still gives him credit for the map creation, does anyone know of a way to fix this that does not involve me rebuilding the thing?[​IMG]

    You are aware... snipe tower is bass-ackwards right? In the pictures it is going up the tower the wrong way. That is similar to the guardian snipe tower.

    Also I would DL but I just can't look at another Lockout remake... sorry.

    i think he was just trying to use as many pre-fabs as possible to get the job done. some of it works, but that sniper tower obviously has to be backwards if you want to go pre-fab.

    good job on it being your first map for the community. as gtf has said, there are some innacurracies, but it looks like a good effort.

    I am fully aware that the sniper tower is backwards, i said it was faithful not exact, if you get a chance to play it it still feels like the original. You are still able to jump up into the sniper tower like you were in the original and you've still got the same lines of sight as the original. I also have the barrels in pretty much the same spot as the original so it is possible to kill people with explosives if you want to. If you give the map a try and see anything wrong with it game-play wise let me know and I'll do what I can about it, Unless 343 implements a mirror option for the objects in forge the prefab is going to have to be backwards. And thanks for the comments, I appreciate the feedback.

    I don't care what people say I like it even if it is prefab, I have learned though through pain an endless toil on maps the making your pieces can not only be cheaper but work out better in the end. I'll download and look when I get home but I like when forgers take the traditional and change it up.

    Never be detered from forging, forge on bro

    Thanks for the comment CaptainSTFU, my other map asteroid lockout is an even bigger change up and I've had a blast on both of them. Good luck, and let me know if you run into any problems.
