So, this map is far from done, but I figured that I would show you what I have so far, and assure you that I am still forging. With that being said, everything, including the name is subject to change. Open to suggestions, but I'm not sure whether to make this map an infection/slayer hybrid, or just a pure linear infection map :\ Setting is a drilling platform just after an earthquake, causing the transport tunnel to collapse, trapping it's inhabitants inside, continuing further into the mine reveals more and more of the damage caused by the earthquake and now, the pretty pics surface refinery and mine entrance barrier Inside the mine Drilling platform, still suspended after collapse of the main shaft Drilling platform main hallway broken mine elevator shaft Outer Drilling platform (unfinished) Lower control/observation deck (unfinished) Another view of the upper refinery
this looks really nice from the pictures, and the fact it's on Erosion really says something. I will check it when you put it up. From the photos I think it would be a nice touch to use some lights (probably white ones) in areas that look a little bland indoors. I think it's always good to use lights somehow if done right and they are hidden. Not that your map needs it, I am just recommending it to look even better. But I really like the look of this map good job bro Example: Try a White light hidden in Lower Observation Control Deck, Drilling Platform Main Hallway, etc.
This is easily the best looking infection map I've seen arise from this shitty game so far. The amount of detail you've put into the collapsed spaces is truly impressive, but at the same time makes the surface environment seem kinda dull. Specifically, the large rocks jutting out of the sides and the small building piece looks a little odd. Other than that it looks very good.
I guess I'll turn this into a linear infection map, though it kinda saddens me that this means that most of my aesthetics will be ignored as people rush to the next choke point :\ oh well, this might make a pretty awesome min-campaign though, maybe something like the "end of days" campaign in reach.
Personally Erosion is by far the best map to forge on, And as proof here is this awesome forged map. You can tell by looking at the pictures that you put time and effort in and did not just throw random pieces together. Keep up the good work and I hope to see it finished.
