Hey there 4chub, So I have been working on a 2v2 map and have recently added a new power weapon (Railgun) three levels above the original power weapon (Sticky Detonator) on the bottom level. Now I have no idea as to why this occurs, but later in game after the weapons are used and respawn, they occasionally swap... I know, odd... and something I've never seen anything like before in Halo's Forge. So if there is anyone who knows how to fix this or at least has any answers, I'm all ears. Thing's I've tried that don't work: Deleting and setting both weapons again Setting the ordinance drops to fixed, also locked Ajusting resupply times Waiting for 343 to fix it (jokes) Important things to note: The two drops are set pretty far vertically The drops are set on about the same x and y axis This only occurs with these two drops, everything else on the map is correct I have a hunch that it has something to do with the fact that the ordinance comes down from the sky and since the two drops share a "y" and "x" axis I think the game confuses itself somehow, thinking that the two drops are one in the same. This has happened on my Epitaph remake as well since railgun spawns above hammer, but it was quickly resolved by attempting one of the options on the list above (Hint: not the last one)
I had this issue too. I think it has to do with the floor you use and how much space you allow for the drop. However it still happens from time to time IIRC. You could also try offsetting them a bit more on the x/y.
I just did a test on this by placing the 3 different types of grenades above each other at varying heights and spawn times and they would randomly switch out with one another. Seems like it would be easy to patch the game to include the X, Y, and Z coordinates when spawning ordinance drops. I hope this gets fixed in the future as this could cause problems on some custom maps like yours.
when you say one is three levels above the other, are you saying that one is on the top floor/roof and the other is on the bottom floor and there are two floors/rooms in between?
I've had the same problem with my map Urban, we confuse the game by putting them on the same co-ordinates at different heights, and as a reply to MrGreen, that sounds like it. I did my own testing and it seems that it will happen with stuff between the drops, so a 4x4 tall block won't stop this from happening.
Yeah, luckily I just adjusted coordinates a bit and it's fine now. It's a fixable thing in my situation, just took some toying with.
