I dislike personal ordinance. I think it's a horrible trait to include in the game, so the vast 99% of my games have been in Oddball / KOTH / CTF / SWAT. The reason I don't like it is because it means the maps don't get their own weapon spawns as often, and if you get a **** ordinance selection, your game is pretty much screwed over...

Initial drops are OK for high respawn weaponry you want waypointed. I usually place down the key power weapons on Initial drops so all players (noob and pro) know the weapon is back.

Random drops are my favoured drops for power ups. I use them as replacement CPUs as they would be in H3 or whatever. I try not to bring weapons into these though.

Any other weapons are placed on the map as standard weapons because too many drops clog the radar and screen with crap :/

I hate when you have an ordnance drop pending and you just want to swap grenades and not use the ordnance drop. Its So annoying.

That's a very good point. I've known the issue existed, but I've been fortunate enough for it to never happen to me. You would think that 343 would allow a separate button for switching grenades...

Speaking of a separate button, what does the Up D-Pad button do in matchmaking?

When you have the Tracker spec complete, it gives you a support upgrade that allows you three new choices for your personal ordinance by pressing the up d-pad button, if you get crap the first time.

I think that ordinance would be much better if you could choose to have a set amount of ammo for each weapon, or to turn off the waypoint. The only thing that breaks maps is when you have a 2v2 map and someone with "ammo" upgrade gets rockets. Then they have like 6 rocket shots and are almost guarenteed to gain the upperhand.

I think personal ordnance is a cool idea... but ruins the competitiveness of Halo and makes the game highly unbalanced. Too many people with too many power weapons, which in turn makes vehicles almost useless. Personal Ordnance should not come so often just getting 4 or 5 kills, should probably be more like 8-10 kills you get a personal ordnance drop. The game is no fun when too many people have power weapons. This is why nobody can last in a vehicle like a Banshee because someone always has a laser and there is no way to tell who and where they are and even if you did know who had it, there is probably someone else with another one.

You can easily get killed 5 times in a row by 5 different people with 5 different power weapons in a matter of 45 seconds, which should not be possible. Halo 4 is more like a game of luck now. You have to be lucky that people dont have power weapons to pull out of their ass and its just a random game of chance. Feels like I am playing a custom game when I play BTB.
