EDIT: Seems Base Player Traits Damage Settings only affects Flood players. You would think that setting would be in Flood Traits or Alpha Flood Traits. I forgot I set this to 0% trying to make humans weaker, instead the Flood could not break Dominion shields or kill humans (couldn't cause any damage to anything). Humans could still kill.
hmm... I haven't tried any modding of flood types, so I don't knwo for sure... but there was an update... is there a chance this occured the first time you loaded it up after the update?
I know it has nothing to do with the update since it was working this morning, then I went and changed a few settings and it didn't work anymore. The update from yesterday only disabled people from using Crimson Map Pack if they didn't pay for it.
try deleting the shields and replacing them, is all I can think of... make sure a trait zone or other setting (maybe in your forge-only settings) is not making melee damage 0% or something... I know those are noobish suggestions, but you never know what you might have missed.
When you say " surrounding a mantis for both teams to use", do you mean in Dominion or Flood? I ask this because if you mean it for Dominion, just make the Shields spawn only in Dominion. If you would like them to spawn in the flood gametype, well... Not much I can do there. I haven't heard of any sort of glitch like this before.
The map is designed for custom Flood gametype only. I just used Dominion Shields for aesthetic and shield purposes. I just did the first game test with 2 other people and it seems that the Flood cannot kill the humans either...so the problem isnt with shields it is with flood attacking. Maybe i just disabled something Im gonna take a look in the settings again and figure it out. [br][/br]Edited by merge: EDIT: Testing
Apparently, there is a bug that causes Trait Zone settings to forcibly change to random values. If you're using such Zones on your map, check to make sure they haven't broken in such a manner.
thanks guys...I found the issue and it wasn't a bug thankfully. yeah JKaddict, it was in Base Player Traits which I thought was for human settings since there is Flood Traits and Alpha Flood Traits also. But I had damage set to 0% trying to balance humans with power weapons. I kept lowering the percentage and made no difference. Not realizing it was affecting the Flood damage instead. I don't really understand why base player trait damage set to 0% only affects the Flood players.
