    This map is NOW COMPLETE. It's in my fileshare.

    Legacy is my first attempt at a competitive Slayer/objective arena map. Everyone has been seemingly missing this type of map from Halo 4, and I wanted to help fill that need. It is heavily inspired by forerunner architecture, and the layout was largely inspired by areas of the campaign and spartan ops. Some of it might feel familiar to you because of that.

    This map is intended to be played with Slayer Pro, or a custom gametype without personal ordnance. I have a special Infinity Slayer variant in my fileshare for it as well.

    Initial Drops:
    - Sword (3rd level, central location - Callout "Top mid")
    - Sniper (Bottom level, North position - Callout "Sniper")
    - Overshield (Bottom Level, South position - Callout "Overshield")

    Random Drops:
    - Scattershot (Bottom level, centralized location)
    - Plasma Grenades x2 (Bottom level, centralized location)

    Gametypes:
    - Slayer Pro
    - Infinity Slayer (Personal Ordnance: off)
    - Oddball
    - KOTH

    damn, lookin good man.
    sorry i wasnt around to play on it when you were testing.

    the look of it reminds me of that one SpOps level a bit as well!

    this reminds me that ive really got to get testing on my competitive map as well, hahaha!

    This looks like a really slick mid-range arena style map. Definitely gonna have to try this. Hmu with an invite, I'd love to help test this out.

    This does look good. I'm glad to see you creating something new instead of spending all your time on those damn remakes. I must admit they were really well done, but I just love seeing what new ideas/creations quality forgers like yourself can come up with.
    I would love to play this sometime. Halo 4 is in desperate need of smaller, arena-style, vehicle-less competitive maps like this. Invite me to a game?

    looks good! only suggestion would be that the cyan colored stuff looks great as a theme for the level, and use less blue/red on the bases. make sure they are obvious which is which, but you might be able to get away with less color other than the cyan theme you have going.

    Im already liking this. And i can immediatly see wich SpOps mission you were inspired with, cant come up with the name though..
    The are where you come multiple times, defending the scientists and exploring the databases? The area had an orb in the middle, wich you actually destroy in one of the latest mission...

    Anyhow, im drifting off.
    This look pretty amazing, and i can definitely see the forerunner architecture, im working on a map myself with forerunner architecture and its kinda hard, but you pulled it of pretty nicely. I never though of that mission, to be an competetive map, but it really looks nice and i think it sure plays well too.
    Im really interested in how this plays with KOTH and where you have put the hills. Have you already tried KOTH?
    This looks great Silence, i was amazed by your Guardian remake, and certainly your Damnation one and i think this map deserves an special place too. Awesome job right here.

    Oh and this also makes me think of the last mission of the campaign, where i was having an hard time on legendary. The platforms you had to fly across, to insert cortana into the system. I really like how you got inspired by those events.

    I'm worried about Overshield spawn. Looks like it has huge LoSes down the line of symmetry as well as into the bases.

    EDIT: Whoops on down the line of symmetry. Fail on my overhead view skills.

    Worry not sir, OV spawn has a semi-defendable position, but it is far from over-powered. The southern ramps are a great place to hold down, but they are quite open for the most part, and invite death if you linger too long.

    This looks great and I can immediately recognize the Forerunner vibe. It's similar to Construct and other maps in that regard. Will definitely be DLing this! I haven't played Spartan Ops yet so I can't comment on that but I can see where the Campaign inspiration came from!

    Yay, it's finally up! I saw this a while ago and really wanted to have a look at it. Initially, the aesthetics caught my eye.

    I had a run around this in Forge and noticed it has a Sanctuary-esque feel to it. I like that, as I think it'll add more of a competitive edge to the map. Aesthetics are easy on the eyes and there are numerous places where players can orient themselves.

    I actually really want to get a game going on this now... Looks like I'll have to get myself into a customs lobby sometime, haha.

    I gave it a DL and had a forge through, and I'm concerned about how open the map feels. Given, I haven't got a lobby of people because I feel its next to impossible to get a custom lobby going on the fly.

    I wouldn't worry about the sightlines. Players naturally adapt to where the cover is and where the dangerous spots are. If anything the map plays in more of a circular motion, around the outer most rings of the map. Only the most brave (or stupid) players just run around the center, and thus, people aren't just shooting across the map non-stop.

    Also, like any good competitive map, the way this map plays the first few times is not how the map plays after a good group of players gets to know the map in and out. Two different experiences.
