I built a remake of Bowser's Castle from Mario Kart 64. I used an overhead map from MarioWiki as well as an emulator to make sure everything was to scale and accurate. The map supports the RACETRACKS gametype provided by Masta Hippie. You will need to change the damage modifier in the RACETRACKS variant for the land mines to work. I used teleporters as a substitute for checkpoints, will make adjustments if/when we get a race gametype. Feel free to upload videos of this track to YouTube. Try team racing with the gametype variant on my fileshare!

    Large room with many thwomps

Rated PG-13 lava bridge (teleports you back a bit if you fall)

    Final gaps (low-gravity)

Let me know on here if you find any issues or ways to cheat in RACETRACKS.

I had a drive around this in Forge and it looks like good fun. You've done a good job of making the map look nice, and that Bowser head with the fireball looks cool. Another good thing is that I recognised the layout straight away - you can really tell it's a remake of the racetrack (provided you've played it before, of course).

There were two bad things I spotted, however. The first thing was the anti-grav zones. When I went up them I hit off the side of the track and fell off my Mongoose. It then got stuck in midair and I had no way of retrieving it.

The second thing was that when falling, the teleporters that catch you can occasionally throw you off the track again. I know that's just the physics of the game, but perhaps you could come up with a solution for this?

If you fixed those two things this'll be a really fun map to race on.

    1. I made some improvements to the big jump and will put the final version on my fileshare tonight.

    2. Which teleporter managed to throw you off? I've came close before, but never actually thrown off.
    - I adjusted the first receiver node back a bit

I can't quite remember now because it was ages ago, but maybe it's not so much of a problem if it's never happened to you. I must've just been unlucky.

I'd leave the teleporters the way they are.
