    Here is a new map i have made. You can dl it by searching my gamertag unrivaled

    I would appreciate any feedback i can get. Currently this only supports slayer 5vs5 but i hope to finish editing it so i can include dominion and ctf. I don't know how the ordinances work so i might just re-edit the weapons on the map. I may add some barriers as well.


    First, It is not symmetrical but it is as close as i could get it with the forge environment. I have tried to make in good while not making it look like a forge map. The first picture illustrates the middle of the level where the rockets spawn. I have covered the terrain so the only way to enter below is by the tunnel on the right

    The second picture shows whats in the lower part of the level. It includes a tele-porter that ports to a created rock formation which you can snipe from. however it is very small and provides little cover. Below that is a turret and another layer that can be seen in the 4th and 5th pic

    The sixth and seventh pic shows the back end of the level. there is an incinerator cannon below the bridge that you can pick up. it also show the man cannon that shoots you to the bridge from both sides

    Oh, where to begin...Well, I don't want to discourage you from forging so I'll keep this as constructive as possible.

    1. Sniper and Hammer shouldn't spawn so closely together. Those are powerful long range and short range weapons for anyone who gets there first. And once they do get there, there isn't much cover on this map to be able to hold those weapons for long.

    2. Its hard to get an overview from the pics posted. I've got a general idea about the layout, but on overview pic wouldn't hurt.

    3. The area in pic #7 is wide-slap open. No cover anywhere. No-mans land and a death trap for anyone out there.

    4. The crooked ramp in pic #6. Where does that lead? Is it supposed to lead to the bridges also at the bottom of the pic? Another instance where an overview might help. If that ramp is supposed to lead to that bridge, why does the ramp end underneath it?

    5. Overall the forging is sloppy and the layout leaves a lot to be desired.

    Before you get pissed off at what I'm saying, remember that you asked for feedback. And I don't know how much you frequent this site, but any map that gets posted on here comes under heavy scrutiny by some really talented forgers. So before you post anything, you need to be 100% certain you are ready for the onslaught of criticism. When I think about posting a map, I look at the map and think "Is this map worthy of matchmaking?". If the answer is no, then its time to go back to the drawing board. Don't get discouraged. Learn from your mistakes. Study other people's maps and listen to what the veteran forgers have to say about making good maps. In time you'll get there. But the three maps that I've seen posted by you (which includes this one) are rookie at best.

    Look, listen and learn… and keep forging.
