Tips for Custom Flood Gametype?

    I am trying to make a custom Flood gametype where the humans have ordinance drops or ordinance drops on the map for some weapons other than just having a shotgun and pistol. I realize this gives a major advantage to the human side, but is needed to fit the gametype and map theme I am re-creating.

    What kind of Flood settings would you guys use to compensate for that human power weapon advantage? I have Flood set to 2x Overshields but I am not sure if it is enough and I do not have a bunch of people to run test matches. This gametype is for a custom map I am designing on Erosion that utilizes the outside area and half of the grifball court for an inside building design. I plan on having the Flood initial spawns in the grifball court somewhere and human initial spawns outside in the lighthouse garage. I also added 1 warthog at the human start spawn along with 2 mongi, and another 2 mongi at the front entrance to the grifball court... to speed up gameplay and make it quicker to get around outside.

    Basically the theme idea is for the humans to infiltrate the grifball court building and kill the Flood and for the Flood to hunt the humans, whether they choose to do so inside the court or make their way outside. So if I use map ordinance drops (or map weapon spawns) almost all of them will probably be located inside the grifball court for the exception of 1 or 2, just to make them harder to acquire. I appreciate any tips anyone has to balance out this gametype or give me some clues on how to do so. The vanilla Flood gametype match is much too short for this gametype... so I figured I would make it only 2 rounds instead of 4.

    I am not ready to reveal the map and gametype theme I am re-creating until I post a map preview, but it's in homage to another legendary game that everyone will recognize and fits very well on Erosion. Obviously this is casual custom game but I do want it to be competitive somewhat or at least balanced perfectly. I want to keep it fun to be on either team. I don't really want to speed up the flood or change their moving/jumping attributes unless it is needed for balancing. What else can I change? Thanks

    HUMAN WEAPONS I am thinking about using:

    -Shotgun
    -Scattergun
    -Pistol
    -Plasma Pistol
    -Spartan Laser
    -Binary Rifle
    -Sticky Detonator
    -Frag Grenades
    -Plasma Grenades
    -SAW
    -Turrets (for walking with)

    Other than the Scattergun, these are the weapons that fit the theme most, give or take one or two I might be forgetting.

    IMO the best way to do power weapons in infection games is to give the humans a not that great weapon to begin with like the assault rifle or just pistol. Then you can add other weapons to the map like shotguns, snipers, etc.

    great tip man thanks a lot I appreciate it. I was planning on just leaving the default weapons on (Shotgun/pistol) but your suggestion seems like it would balance out much better. I think I will change it to Assault Rifle/Plasma Pistol for now. Any more tips from anyone is welcome.
