Friends and I have a custom map that is set up so one team tries to steal a vehicle and take it into a KOTH hill, the other team defends. The game mode is set so that: Everyone has 1 life per round There are 3 rounds The rounds can end if the attacking team retrieves a vehicle or if one team is completely killed Our problem is that when a new round starts, it alternates where the teams spawn: First round: everyone spawns where they should Second round: everyone is spawned on the opposing spawn Third round: spawns correct side Four round: spawns on wrong side etc. The initial spawns are set to Defender and Attacker and are labeled as team spawn, all the other settings for them are default. None of the respawn settings for the game type have been changed. Any ideas how to fix this?
Objective games in rounds always swap attackers and defenders each round. It's a holdover from one-sided objective games (RIP). Funny that they kept that in a game where they removed one-sided objectives... anyway, I don't know of any way to stop it from happening.
is there some way to make your game type more of a red vs blue team configuration rather than attacker defender? I had a soccer gametype in Reach that worked perfectly in between rounds because the spawns were marked red and blue. your team would never switch unless you did it manually as a the player, so that worked flawlessly. I haven't tried such a thing in H4 yet.
I tried making it Gold vs Green but kept getting the same results, even when making the game type slayer. Isn't Attacker and Defender still Red and Blue, and just CA being difficult, or are they different now?
if you color the spawn points to the team, don't they keep the correct team spawning in where they should? Or am I understanding you wrong... that you want them to switch back and forth each round?
I don't want them to switch, but they keep switching. The Attacker team will get spawned in the Defender spawns every other round, and vise versa.
It's always done this, there's no way to change this up. It's how the round system works, as it always has in all Halo games. You can't stop this from happening. This thread is now pointless, as Nutty told you what the issue was and that you couldn't fix it.
