I have noticed a lot of people around the community interested in a custom games community. Some have went the structured route (like myself), and others have went Wild West style of randomly joining people's games (which is fine too, just different). In the end, what everyone wants is a seamless way to find people to play games they can't get in matchmaking. To me, the best way to do that is through a website similar to ForgeHub. Yeah, I know TRC is already here, but they don't get much traffic (from what I have seen) because people see "ForgeHub" and only think Forge. Meanwhile, we have smaller communities that are not active because they have such a small amount of people. We are suffering from a fragmented community. We need one big, awesome community for everyone (like ForgeHub). If such a site exists, I haven't found it in my hours of searching. If we can get a few leaders together with some folks with web design experience, I think we could really make a go at it. So far, my community isn't gaining much traction, and our members are looking for games to no avail. If anyone is interested, reply to this thread and see if we can't get some ideas going. Sorry for posting ANOTHER thread about customs, but this seems to be a pretty big market. It goes hand in hand with forge.

    Well I do agree.
    There are ways though.
Theres a master list of GT's of people that are all likely to join, and play a custom game.
Theres also a gamertag 'H4CasualCustoms'. Add it. And when you next want people for custom games, Go on that GT's profile, click view friends and invite everyone playing Halo 4. Also the forgehub shoutbox has a few people up for customs in it usually.

I've been using these methods for a while, and when you've separated the more likely to join, to the less likely, custom games are easier to construct.

People love custom games, unfortunately not many of those people will go through the effort of searching on their PC for customs. (Which admittedly I have tried too.

But you know what? You gotta start somewhere bro. If a community is what it will take to make it work then you have my support. I really hope to see some good minds working on this. If one of these systems got set up, and working with enough people so that there are always a few choices of games to join, it could be brilliant.

BTW. I can't imagine it taking off until 343 fixes forge/customs.

    Peace out

the smaller focus is a good thing

users are easily moderated, and the posts here are usually of quality

If you want an all-encompassing site, it's called the waypoint forums, but the chaos there is a good reason to fragment such areas to avoid conflict between interests

this usually breaks down into the following:

    -competitive communities
    -casual communities
    -cannon/lore/data communities
    -technical/design communities
    -fanart/story communities
    -forge communities

Forgehub has a bit of everything, but the main focus will always be Forge, and as an extension, general creativity, and it suits its purpose well.

The TRC is more active than you think, but due to the lack of a working file share system, there really is no efficient way of sharing maps at this point so Customs are harder to set up. Soon. (I hope)

yeah... i made a site for that, but i lost 1 point for advertising, so be careful. now what i'm trying to do is to integrate my site to this forum so ForgeHubers will not have to quit the forum to create or joint a game... If you want more informations about what i'm trying to do send me a PM

I have to say that it's really hard without HTML
