Hi everyone! I'm making a single player mini game that involves surviving an onslaught of flying fusion coils for as long as possible. My plan is to use king of the hill to keep score, but I can't figure out how to make a gametype where each round ends when the player runs out of lives (One life per round. 3 rounds total. The player's score is the sum of all three rounds). Is this possible? Right now when the player dies nothing happens and I have to end the game manually... Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Set the game to not count contested hills, and then set the score to win a round to 1. The last person to survive will get one point and then the round will end. EDIT: Sorry, didn't realize, you were talking about single player... Not sure what to do then.
I think your SOL. The round is not going to end in KOTH when you run out of lives. Another mistake by 343. I though of a game just like this the other day. I was thinking of using the hard light shield as a blocker to block falling fusion coils that would rain down on your head. You would have to look up and use the shield to block them. Not sure if it would even work, but I did think a the similar idea. Good luck. Let us know if you work it out.
You could have an initial spawn in the hill and after he dies once (his one life of the round) have him spawn in a room, trapped, until time runs out? Not the best solution but if there isn't a setting for it somewhere it might be an option.
Thanks for the responses everyone! Bummer... It doesn't seem as if there's anyway to do exactly what I wanted to do. I'll have to figure out a different scoring system or find some sort of work around.
I'm sure you could accomplish it somehow with respawn zones that spawn in after a certain period of time. I'm not the person you should be asking for that anyway, though. You might want to see if a compettetive forger could help you out.
