Hello everyone. I don't remember if I have ever posted here, but I figured I would put in some assistance.

As we know, the new Custom Games leaves a lot to be desired. One big thing I noticed and despised was the lack of team editting. Like in CTF, if you want to have one flag, you cannot edit whether the attacking team has different stats than the defending team. The Same applies for any other game mode outside of flood really, and it was kinda saddening.

However, today, I have discovered something hugely helpful to those wishing to create games where one team has a specific set of stats over the other.

This method is player trait zones.

All you have to do is create the zone, and expand it to cover the whole map. Then, in object options, change the trait zone to the team desired to have those traits. If you place two of these to span the whole battlefield, then it will effect the specific team assigned to that zone.

I know this seems basic, but I didn't think of it myself and I figured this may supply some assistance to those making "invasion" styled games of attack and defend.

Hope you all enjoy this information.

You are all quite welcome. I'm doing a lot of testing, so I will let all of you know what I find in other aspects. Something I found to easily counter players not being able to have designated weapons at the beginning of a match is to spawn them into a room with the weapons, and let them choose. It sucks that you can't edit on a team by team basis, but we have to adapt for now.

Actually, yeah, that's a good but simple idea. I'm surprised I didn't realize this, as I basically noticed that trait zones override gametype traits when testing my tremors map. Now I can make it so the non tremors won't be able to board the tremors or shoot them :D
