hi. i have been messing around in forge and gotten a layout for my map.

i started adding a bit of detailing and changing the colours of the pieces.

and 3 of my 5x5 flat (adjoined) turned invisible.

they are still there, but you can only see them from certain angles.

is this a known bug and what do i do to fix it?

    thanks.

Try deleting them and placing them back.

That is a known bug I think. That's when you realize how much they copied Reach's forge - a majority of previous bugs still exist.

I think you'll have to spawn another object and hit "delete all."

Can you still walk on the invisible side? This might be similar to a glitch in Reach where you could get a coli window to turn invisible. Could be a neat trick to make a light bridge.

    thanks for the help.

i deleted the pieces and put them back and the same thing.

on further inspection, and trying other pieces in its place. i think because the piece is going through the wall of the grifball court (i forget its name) and interacting with lighting (or something else) it is getting confused and not displaying itself, even though it is there.

i have placed a different piece there, keeping it wholly inside the play area and all is ok.

i had the same issue with erosion griffball court. if the majority of the object or even a certain amount passes through some of the exterior walls, it will cause it to go invisible. ive had this happen with Grids, Colosseum walls and windows, Dish open, Dish closed. if you look it from a high altitude it shows the object but with zero lighting effects rendered upon it and its super bright. a similar effect happens on impact but due to different reasons.

i did exactly what you did, in that i kept the majority of the object inside

I've had shield doors clip out of existence. Nevermind the fact that shield doors on maps aren't specifically designed with the size of the maps doors in mind... so they didn't really fit to begin with.
